A basic but clean and inexpensive place to stay in Tefe if you are visiting the town or passing through on your way up or down river or on the way to Mamiraua reserve. It is a short walk from the town centre. The two things that really make this a good place to stay are the view of the...

Tefe is not the most wonderful place - a dock and rather sleepy town - but Pousada Multicultura is a gem in this place. Have the room overlooking the lake if available. It's well worth the extra and has fantastic views. If you just want to relax, you can watch the activity on the lake for hours. Spend time with...

This is the place to stay in Tefe! Very reasonably priced and Bettine is a wonderful host who makes you feel at home. She and her husband, Fernando, clearly care deeply for their community and are committed to the Amazon, its people and developing responsible tourism within and around Tefe. The rooms are simple and clean and the location is...

Best choice in Tefe, but low cost-benefit ratio. If you can go directly to Mamiraua Lodge, one-hour and half far from Tefe, do it. Breakfast and accomodations (bed sheet, toilet paper, towels etc.) are very simple. Excellent river view from the balcony and from the breakfast area, but that's all. In addition, the air conditioner stopped in the middle of...

If you are looking for clean and comfortable accommodation with friendly and helpful owners who care passionately about Amazonia, then Pousada Multicultura is the place to stay. It is good value, cheerful and Bettine and Fernando are excellent hosts. Staying at Pousada Multicultura will give you a unique insight into life in Tefe and Bettine (who seems to speak all...

First rate, attentive service, new and very quiet airconditioners, a frigobar, and some rooms with a river view. A pleasant airy place for breakfast on the top floor with great views of the Tefe waterfront from the large terrace. The owner and her husband can help with tours and arranging taxis and other transportation. Highly recommended

If you want to explore this area of Brazil, contact these people. The owners are extremely helpful in arranging everything you may want to do. They have a relationship with the operators of Pousada Uacari so arranging a trip there is easy. Bettine knows several languages and Fernando is very accommodating. He has contacts in the community and will arrange...

We very much enjoyed our stay with Bettine. She has a very relaxed attitude towards her guests, and let them (sort of) be part of her own family with her beautiful daugthers and pets. The sunset from the top deck of the pousada is spectacular and the most beautiful sunset we have seen during our one month holiday in Brazil....

A peaceful and comfortable pousada with beautiful views over the Tefe Lake and where the owners, Bettine and Fernando, strive to understand your needs in order to organize the perfect tour for you. On our first day in Tefe, we started with a pink and grey dolphins spotting before heading to the catholic Mission. From there, we walked through three...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Our family- guesthouse gives you the opportunity to relax with a unique view over the Lake Tefé. Our rooms are clean with silent air-conditioning, tv, desk, private bathroom with hot-shower and a friendly atmosphere. Because of environmental consideration only some rooms have a fridge, the others have a shared fridge.Tefe is the starting point to get to the Uakari-lodge of the Mamiraua Reserve for Sustainable Development, but the small Amazon-town has other things to offer. We organize tours to get to know the local (indigenous) communities, meeting of the waters (of the Amazon river and the Tefe river), pink delphin watching, the mission, the lake-beaches, flooded forest and trails in the forest. We can organize your tickets to Tefe too. The management is a Brazilian-Dutch couple, who worked with the indigenous communities for years. We speak Portuguese, English, Dutch, German, Spanish and Tagalog. ... more   less
