I only stayed there yesterday but I couldn't wait to get home and tell people how wonderful this place is! Having been used to the average premier inn on a business trip, my company put me here and to say I was blown away would be an understatement. Stayed in an annexed room with a spacious lounge space and possibly... More

The service from the moment of arrival until the end of our weekend was exceptional. Very personalised nothing was too much trouble, even to the point of the owner Martin giving us a lift into Aberaeron on Friday and Saturday evening. Our room was beautiful, comfortable and spotless with a lovely treat of home made cookies in the room. Breakfast... More

So impressed with the gorgeous buildings and surroundings of Ty Mawr mansion. Met by the owner Martin, who was welcoming and couldn't do enough for us. We stayed in the Matthew Rhys suite, which was everything you would expect from a 5* hotel. Restaurant was intimate and grand. The food was delicious. Our one night stay at Ty Mawr was very pleasant. From Martin's first phone call to confirm and ask about our dinner plans and arrival with a baby to the wonderful bath amenities and breakfast, it's an experience we would like to have again. The arrival is quite scenic with a long drive leading to the beautiful stone mansion. Interior-wise... More

My wife and I have just spent three fantastic nights with the Ty Mawr team for a special occassion. The whole team could not have been more pleasant, helpful and professional. Ty Mawr is a beautiful house, decorated sympathetically for the period and with great taste, quality and style. A real credit to the owners. We had a full tour... More

We were warmly greeted on our arrival by the owner Martin. He helped us with our luggage, registered us very quickly, gave us a tour of the public areas and then showed us to our room. The 3 lounges and dining room were very tastefully decorated with comfortable furnishings, completely in tune with an old country mansion. Both the bedroom... More

This spectacular place is not to be missed. The old mansion has been updated with modern conveniences while retaining the feel and charm of an old country house. The food was extraordinary and unusual. Try the sorbets!

We booked a two-night stay here to see our son graduate from Aberystwyth University. Our first impressions were based on its fantastic setting and location. These impressions never altered from the very first warm and friendly greeting and the fabulous homemade toast and jam made specially for us at 10pm! Our room was sumptuous with a bathroom big enough to... More

My sister and I stayed here for one night during a 10-day tour of Wales. The room was spacious, comfortable, quiet, and beautifully furnished. Home-made cookies were on the tray with the makings of tea and coffee. The dinner at the restaurant was just amazing -- excellent food, friendly and efficient service, relaxing atmosphere. The owner/manager gave us advice about... More
