A very warm welcome from the staff. The hotel and rooms are charming and cocooning. Scottish food at the restaurant was awesome! Yet several bad points: few mobile network and no Wi-Fi connection in rooms. Some trouble with shower pressure too. Yet I recommend the place for a love trip.

Hi there, Thank you for your comments. I am very glad our service pleased you and that both the hotel, rooms and restaurant were as good as you have described. As far as Mobile Network and Wireless Internet goes - I'm really afraid that is quite out of our control! But who knows.. perhaps one of these days the coverage...

It is with a heavy heart that I level any criticism at Letterfinlay Lodge Hotel - we have stayed there many times, and enjoyed our visits. However, this 'history' puts us in a position to witness the gradual deterioration of the building and facilities. Let me start by saying that the staff have always been lovely and very helpful, and...

Hi there, Thank you for your review. I am glad that the excellent service by our staff has been maintained since your last visit! Indeed, some renovations are due around the hotel and we are looking for these to commence in the near future. Hopefully on your next visit, you will see a great improvement! Thanks again, Maggie

We were stranded by our rental car without cellphone reception near Letterfinlay Lodge, so we walked here to call for help. The person we talked to was in the process of checking guests out of the hotel, but made it clear that she would be happy to help. In just a couple of minutes, she let us use the land...

We used Letterfinlay Lodge as an overnight stopover en-route to a 2 week stay on Skye. The hotel is charming and has great character. Rooms are cosy and very comfortable and the view from the bedroom window is amazing! The food is yummy and the service was excellent. We found all the staff to be friendly, welcoming and helpful. The young staff at this hotel are working their socks off, but there are some serious issues. Dinner good, cooked breakfast fine but very little other choice (e.g. no fresh fruit at all and cheapest orange juice); rooms clean but decoration a bit bizarre - think "Footballers' Wives" on a Matalan budget. BUT - behind reception was a water authority...

Thank you for your comments. With regards to our water situation during your stay - which I would like to stress has now been sorted and there is no longer a problem - we ensured that all guests were made fully aware with notices being placed at reception, bar and all public areas. We also provided bottled water in all...

Hotel okay for stopover but needs some investment in decor. Food also okay and served at marathon pace. Ran out of tonic for drinks and several menu items and cream for mussel sauce. Price high for level of quality delivered in both. Had superior room which was vast but had picture hanging on a diagonal to hide damp coming from...

Thank you for your feedback. I can only apologise for the lack of stock of your choice. Unfortunatley, along with a few other refreshments, during ordering this item was overlooked. We can put this down to human error and will make sure to double check our orders in the future! With regards to the hotel interior, this is something on...

I'm baffled at the 4.5 average rating for this hotel. As others have noted, the location is spectacular. That alone should get them a 5 rating if the place was half decent. However, the best I can give them is a 2. The staff tried hard to meet customers' needs within the bounds of what they could do. I really...

Thanks for your comment. We are currently looking into upgrading the interior of the hotel but I am sure you can appreciate that this is a work in process. Our water situation during your stay, which I would like to add was extremely temporary and has since been fixed, was made aware to all guests via notices around public areas....

We were excited about staying here for two nights because it has great views and the website made it look very relaxing and modern. When we walked in to reception, the first thing we noticed was the stale smell of fried fish. It was outdated and stuffy. We waited a while for someone to greet us. She seemed very flustered....

Thanks for your comment.
