We didn't have a clue where to stay in Broadstairs so we relied on Tripadvisor. We found the Cloonlara with great reviews and, on arrival, very quickly realised they were justified. Bernadette (and husband Brian) is a great host who quickly made us feel like we were old friends rather than Cloonlara newbies, although some of the people staying while...

We have been coming to Cloonlara for the past six years and every visit is just as good as the first. Staying with Bernie & Brian is like staying with very good friends, we never fail to have a laugh with them and even though they are very busy they will always find time to have a chat. Everything is...

Stayed only one night in their twin room (Louisa) with a nice view towards the sea. Very clean with a nice-sized bathroom with great shower. Breakfast very nice. Bernadette was very helpful with advice on our intended walk. All in all a wonderful stay.

Our stays with Bernadette and Brian at Cloonlara never fail to disappoint and we always leave wishing we could stay. The hosts are so warm and welcoming that you are made to feel like old friends from the moment they open the door. The bedrooms and ensuites are as spotlessly clean as ever. All the bedrooms are beautifully decorated, we...

I booked this as a little 2 night break for my parents as a surprise 80th birthday treat. The owners arranged everything for me and they couldn't do enough for my parents. The place was spotless, (my mum has the highest standards!!) the room was very comfortable, The breakfast was incredible, so much so that they skipped lunch. It's really...

We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend away at Cloonlara - which is a truly excellent B&B. On arrival, we were made at home immediately and as we did not know Broadstairs well, all the suggestions for places to visit were invaluable. Based just five minutes' stroll from the sea front/restaurants/shops, it is ideally located. Our room -Tulip - was sunny, airy...

I arrived at Cloonlara without notice, one of those people who just turn up and try to check in. I paid a very reasonable price for what would be my ideal bedroom at home! The room and en suite bathroom were both very clean. Very spacious room and comfortable bed too. Very nice homemade breakfast cooked by the very friendly...
