A very comfortable, well-located and thoughtfully appointed B&B with friendly and helpful owners, and a first-rate, largely home-made or locally produced breakfast. Ideal for walkers and others visiting Crediton whether to see friends or family or on business.

I loved my stay at this B&B. Sylvia was very friendly and accommodating. My room was spotless, spacious and had a lovely view over the gardens. The house was quiet and had a homely feel but everything was top spec. The breakfasts were fantastic. Would highly recommend to anyone.

Have passed by this establishment so many times and was intrigued by the glimpses of a house from a bygone era but soon found out that the facilities were certainly not bygone! ABSOLUTELY spotless, very comfortable beds, supremely luxurious shower room - many thoughtful touches besides the normal ones. Afternoon tea on arrival was very welcome & breakfast was scrumptious... Walking in the area I called Taw Vale asking for a room for that night. Silvia was able to accommodate me, a great relief. On arrival, coffee and biscuits were forthcoming, and both Silvia and Peter took the time to chat. My room was just right, breakfast was delicious, their house is delightful - thank you so much.

Booked after finding on the 'cyclists welcome' site this is a great B&B. Sylvia and her husband were very helpful in providing tea on arrival after a long day cycling and then suggesting an onward route that bypassed the worst of the hills towards Tiverton. Well appointed room, plenty of plugs for charging phones, lights and battery packs. Breakfast was... More

Amazing B and B! There is everything you would want in your rooms. The rooms are perfect, clean and smart. It's the first B+B that I've slept amazing every single night. Breakfast fills you up a treat. And for the price they ask its a bargain! Would definitely be staying there again soon! Highly recommend it.

Put me up at short notice for 1 night. The room was spot on, nothing to fault at all. The hosts were really help full. I was away early and requested a takeaway breakfast which lasted me ALL day. The place they recommended for my evening meal was top draw as well. I cant recommend this place and hosts high... More

Warm welcome from our hosts, comfortable rooms and superb breakfast, with the delight of home-made preserves. This was the second stop on our Land's End - John O Groats charity cycle ride, so a good night's sleep and a good feed in the morning is what we needed, both of which were delivered. Happy to recommend Taw Vale.

The room was perfect, extremely friendly atmosphere with a family that are willing to help in any way they can. Sylvia's breakfast was first class with plenty of options. Very informal and relaxed - you feel like you are staying with the family, but retaining your privacy. For the price and everything mentioned above i cannot recommend Taw vale any... More
