We booked this on the same day of our arrival. We read about it in Rick Steves' guide book and decided to give an agriturismo a try. Guilia answered my email right away and found us a room. Our reception was organized and full. We stayed in a cute little stone cottage. There was a kitchen if one wants to... More

We spent 3 nights in La Crociona, just outside Montalcino, as a base to explore the stunning Val D’Orcia region in Tuscany. The site is a working winery (we enjoyed a tour and tasting session by Giulia, free for guests – their Brunello is fantastic!) set amongst vineyards, with well landscaped grounds and great views all around. Facilities include designated... More

We recently returned from a 6-week trip to Italy including 2-weeks in Tuscany. We stayed at La Crociona for 5 nights. Good Points: The room was the largest one we stayed in during our entire trip; it was very nice and roomy. It had a kitchenette that was very well stocked; we made our breakfast on 4 out of 5... My husband and I rented a little one bedroom apartment with a kitchen and small terrace at La Crociona and it was perfect. It had a comfortable bed, large and light rooms, good wifi, lovely surroundings and a refreshing pool. The location was perfect - very close to Montalcino and many good wineries (the wine at La Crociona is good,... More

We rented an apartment with 2 bedrooms three bathrooms and enough room for four. It was just the two of us but I couldn’t find anything smaller and/or better value at the time. There was a kitchen with dining table, and a small lounge with a TV. The rooms were spacious and very clean, plainly decorated but comfortable and had... More

Our apartment at La Crociona, 'B' was perfect for the two of us. Simple, antique furnishings, a fireplace (which we didn't use), and a kitchenette with cooking ware and eating utensils. There is no air conditioning and surprisingly we didn't miss it during our late August stay. Barbara, Fiorella, Giulia, and Mr. Nannetti all made us feel as though we... More

My husband and I had an amazing and very relaxing stay at La Crociona. We were traveling with friends who are frequent guests here and were greeted warmly and treated WONDERFULLY by the owners. Barbara and Michael could not have been more helpful and friendly. Paulo took us on a tour of the wine cellar, and the absolutely CHARMING Fiorella... More

With family of five, my mother, my wife, my two teenage daughters, we spent two very memorable days and nights July 2016 at the lovely 'La Crociona'. The location is beautiful with vines and olive trees just about everywhere around you. The apartments were very nice and tastefully decorated. The swimming pool is very nice and big - the trees... I was asked to write a review "from the heart" so here goes. First the positives. The agriturismo is in a great location with wonderful views fairly close to the picturesque hill top town of Montalcino. The grounds are well laid out and beautifully landscaped with a good sized swimming pool. There's also dedicated car parking with shade. Now the... More
