We arrived in late September after a trying day of international travel. Once we came through the gates and up the driveway, we knew we were going to love Sicily! The property is amazing--an old world villa with gardens, fountains and even its own small chapel. Our room was in the main house in front. We had a spacious room...

After visiting Sicily 3 times in less than a year & always choosing Taormina for my girlfriend's birthday and our 1st year together so decided to do a change.. it was one of my best decisions as we stayed in this lovely, typical Sicilian country house just surrounded by greenery and peace as we wished for. It's a family run...

We spent a wonderful 3 days here at the end of two weeks in Italy. We liked the fact that each of the rooms is self-contained and the grounds are beautiful, with lemons, limes, olives etc growing in abundance. We were able to enjoy the sun loungers and benches in the gardens to read and chill. We only took breakfast...

If you want to truly breathe, feel and taste Sicily, this is the place to go. The best thing about Villa Giardinata is that it gives you a feeling of being "away from it all" when in actual fact it's only a few minutes drive away from all the beautiful points of the Trapanese region. Some prime examples are: San...

We (couple, 33 years old) have been to Sicily 4 times and we have stayed in different places (hotels, B&B, Agriturismo). Villa Giardinata offers by far the best value-for-money we have experienced so far. It began with a warm welcome from the host family. As soon as you enter the Villa, you are being captured by the 4 centuries of...

To say this place is awesome, is a understatement. Hidden within a roaming village. This Villa is unique. Greeted by the family as well as the beautiful peacocks who welcome us. This place is a must for all people who want to experience the true meaning of Sicily and what it has to offer

The grounds of the Villa are wonderful with a fountain and peacocks adding extra charm. The breakfast is superb with almost everything being freshly made. The hosts are good people who try very hard to make your stay special, and succeeded for us. We travelled with two small children and had no issues, but needed to bring our own baby...

Our stay at Villa Giardinata was a beautiful experience. Our room was comfortable and quiet with its own little garden behind. Peacefulness was key, with a large fountain, lemon and olive trees as well as many exotic plants. Breakfast was one of the best we had during our 3-week trip. Everything fresh and homemade. Anna was very cordial, making us...

The house and the garden are nice. The peacocs are noisy all the night. But you can sleep, as such nois belongs to the Sicilian country. Anna exserts to be excelent host, but her profesionality and inexperience is low.

The accomondations in the room was very nice and confortable. This is a lovely place when you can relax and enjoy the atmosphere of Sicily. The Villa is the perfect location to explore the Trapani, Erice, Marsala and San Vito Lo Capo. I would go there again.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Villa Giardinata is one of the most famous and elegant hotels of the Val di Erice, regular home to concerts and local events. Created to accommodate the discerning client at a national and international level, our structure deserves the attention of tourists who do not wish for "surprises" whilst wishing to stay in a characteristic place. The B&B and the rooms are newly built yet the context is ancient ... a "baglio" (rural farmhouse) in which to experience the real Sicily! It is in a considerably privileged location, the same distance from the beautiful beach of S. Vito Lo Capo as it is from Marsala, a few minutes from Erice, just 10 minutes from the most beautiful seas. Extremely well situated for excursions throughout the province of Trapani it is often chosen by those who wish to visit Palermo on a daily basis, in just 50 minutes by motorway. The entrance to the apartments is independent, there are no communal areas, with complete respect for your privacy. We are equipped with a large, secure car park. For this and more please visit our website where you can easily find prices, pictures and other information. The rooms are furnished in simple rustic style and are sound-proofed; we pride ourselves on high quality and attention to detail, ensuring the greatest possible comfort for our guests. Traditional furnishings, from the wrought iron bedsteads to organza curtains, are complemented by a range of modern services such as TV LED FULL HD, mini-bar and air conditioning, with heating provided in the winter months. Safe deposit boxes and a solarium, as well as other amenities, are also available. The abundant breakfast can be served in your room if preferred. We can also provide other services such as a wake-up call (however much you may not want this!) or your favourite newspaper. All rooms have modern private bathrooms with hair-dryer, hot water and shower; towels are changed daily and a complete set of toiletries is provided. The landscape is a harmonious interplay of winding footpaths and shady groves, where peacocks roam freely amongst palms, cycas, hibiscus and roses, where Barbary figs and citrus trees flourish. Guests have the choice of three gardens: the villa garden, the old garden and the orange blossom garden. In the still Sicilian afternoons or the warm summer evenings you might like to take a seat by the roses, or perhaps you would rather a background of heady jasmine perfume. You may, instead, prefer to stroll amongst the olive groves or along the ancient royal roads leading to the top of Monte Giambo where you can enjoy the beautiful sunsets. The breath-taking view encompasses the bay of Cornino from Erice to Marsala ... and the old people say that in the limpid days of long ago you could even see the coasts of Africa. Included amenities: - rooms with private bathrooms - air conditioning - LCD television - mini-bar - shop - wine bar - park and garden - solarium - secure parking Villa Giardinata is an ideal centre for trekking. Additional services: - breakfast in your room - safe deposit boxes - laundry and ironing service - Internet access - medical assistance - tourist guides - transport to and from the airports of Trapani (Birgi) and Palermo (Falcone & Borsellino) ... more   less
