I was invited to visit the hotel for a drink because I wanted to spend some time there and hotel policy did not allow for use of the pool without residency. I was so glad that we did on my daughters birthday as they spoilt us all and we found ourselves wishing we had stayed to enjoy the stunning surroundings...

As with the other comments you see about this hotel, words can't capture the beauty and elegance of the facility, the dramatic vistas and most significantly the quality of the service. From your "welcome bell" to your departure, all of your needs are anticipated and handled flawlessly. I strongly recommend dinner at the hotel restaurant for the most incredible food....

A simply amazing hotel. The food was spectacular Italian food with amazing service The view 500 feet above the ocean on a cliff was unbelieveable. I really enjoyed the spa as well - fantastic massages. The infinity pool is amazing and an afternoon by the pool here is magic.

We loved our stay at this beautiful hotel. Service was amazing, infinity pool is breathtaking and the food is incredible. We will not forget the delicious sfogliatelle. This hotel also offers a shuttle service to Amalfi which is great as attempting to park close by is a nightmare. The hotel has history and character and we will definitely be back...

Monastero Santa Rosa was recommended by the concierge at the hotel and we were so grateful for the suggestion. The view was beautiful from the hotel. The food was fantastic. There was an infinity pool that overlooked the ocean. I would love to stay here next time I'm in Amalfi. I know based on the spa and lunch service that...

This is easily one of the nicest hotels I have ever stayed at. The property, the grounds, the cliff side infinity pool, the attentive staff, the excellent food... Hard to find any fault with this place. It is very much on the expensive side but you get such an amazing experience that makes it well worth it.

My wife and I honeymooned at the Monastero and were blown away, quite simply. From the moment you arrive to the moment you depart, the staff treats you magnificently. Anything you want, they will get for you. The food is delicious, the spa is amazing, the little gym is breathtaking and the pool is stunning. They took time each night...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Striking the perfect balance of seclusion without solitude, Monastero Santa Rosa allows guests to determine the tone of their stay, whether they're looking to disappear for an intimate getaway or gather with the group and make new acquaintances. It's hard to imagine that the generous grounds, filled with four levels of gardens, lush landscaping, plentiful lounge chairs, and canopied daybeds, serve just 20 rooms and suites. Where most boutique properties might only offer in-room massages, Monastero Santa Rosa hosts a fully equipped spa to rival any major city spa, offering not just treatment rooms, but large-scale amenities that include a sauna, steam, mosaic-tiled experience shower, hydro pool, and tepidarium. Guests are welcome to feel a part of the scene at the library and bar. Engage in a game of chess or cards or read while sipping a martini in the modern cocktail area. Relax down by the pool or discover the resort's secret gardens, quiet sun decks, and indoor relaxation areas. Get the best of both worlds by making your stay as energizing or relaxed as you wish, by selecting different spaces to suit your mood at any time. ... more   less
