The old town of Rhodes, even during our non-main-season-stay, is a place that sees quite a lot of tourists - unlike many other places in town, though, the Apollo Guest House, conveniently situated near St. John's Gate, turned ou to be an oasis of tranquility in the otehrwise bustling town. Beyond the shuttle service, the rather small, but cozy and... More

Staying in Rhodes Old Town is a must, and Apollo Guesthouse is perfectly located in a quiet area near the medieval walls and moat, and handy to St John's gate (near the port, where we arrived). Some spots in the old town would be too noisy to sleep, but this spot is perfect and peaceful. There are just a few... More

Maggie and Humberto were amazing hosts, providing us with tips and guidance. Breakfast in the courtyard is an inspiring way to start your day. The location is perfect, right where you need to be. The room was cosy but lovely and the bathroom was spotless, plus great shower pressure.

Loved our stay here. A bit hard to find when you first arrive as it's away from main tourist zone. May worth asking for instructions or a photo of a simple map on the site may be an idea. As is usual when you arrive in these old towns it's confusing. Just ask - everyone happy to help. Very tight... More

Just returned from a short 2 night stay at the Apollo which my wife and I really enjoyed. The guest house is an ideal base to explore the old and new town and a welcome retreat on the heat of the day. Whilst the room's are small they have a simple charm with their white walls and wood floors and... More

The charming and helpful Umberto makes you feel at home in his quiet, well-sited and beautifully decorated guesthouse. Close to all you need to see and do in Rhodes old town, with a lovely courtyard for excellent breakfasts (included). Rooms on the small side but clean and well-appointed. Umberto knows the town inside out and pointed us at two or... More

The Apollo has many attractions - not least of which is Umberto who is an excellent host and fascinating and entertaining company. Our room was small (I believe none are huge) but clean, attractive and well set up with an extremely comfortable built-in bed and a proper shower room which did not flood every time you used the shower (unlike... The Apollo is a gem thanks to the owners' care and attention to detail. It is not lavish by any means but is homely and tastefully renovated. We stayed for just two nights around greek Palm Sunday this year (at the end of April 2013). We loved the bustle of the festivities and by contrast the tranquility of stepping through... More

Very well situated, Apollo Guesthouse is close to all we needed, restaurants, museums, old port... Everything is easy walking distance. The rooms are clean and and well decorated. The view of the surronding wall is beatiful. We had delicious breakfasts in the charming flowered courtyard. The host are very nice and welcoming. We had a very nice journey in Rhodes.
