Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

10/10 recommend staying here. Phenomenal restaurants near by, easy commute to anywhere on the island. The staff were lovely. Breakfast with a phenomenal view. We were able to watch the famous sunset from our mini double room with wine we picked up in town instead of being in crowed Oia (which we did for one night to see what all the hype was about). Everything about this place (maybe minus the fact that there wasn't a pool) was really great. So yes - I highly recommend it.

We had a wonderful stay here in Sept 2022. Our room was nice with a window to view the caldera. Dennis was excellent in helping us with our luggage and showed us the attractions in Santorini. Breakfast was included and it was excellent. The hotel is located in a quiet part of town and only 10 min to Fira. Highly recommend this place!

The hotel was on the cliff with amazing view of caldera and volcano. Rooms was very clean and that was really important during these times. The stuff was very friendly and helpful especially Christina, who was there to fulfill any and every request. One of the most important services was the breakfast, which had multiple delicious choices!

I would give this hotel 10 stars if it was possible. Wonderful family run hotel in the most perfect location on Santorini. The owners and staff are warm and helpful. Rooms are decorated well. Amazing views. Not too many steps from the small center where there’s an excellent restaurant and some shopping. Very close to parking. 10 minutes walk to Fira.
The breakfast was something we looked forward to each day. We also had lunch there a few days. Excellent staff. Many locals also say that it’s the best breakfast on the island. Plan your reservation or be able to wait a bit. But it’s worth the wait.
We have been coming to Santorini for 25 years. This will be our new favorite hotel.

Beautiful hotel! Perfect location, easy to walk to surrounding towns. Quiet at night. Great restaurants nearby. The breakfast was INCREDIBLE. The hotel has a cafe attached and we ate breakfast there every morning. The staff were so friendly(especially Melina!) and recommended places for dinner that we never would’ve found on our own. The view of the Aegean sea is breathtaking. Highly recommend!

The location is perfect. We booked a room with a shared balcony but there was an ideal place to sit and watch the sunsets - no need to book a restaurant for this and pay to sit in first row!

The staff, particularly Jenny, were very helpful. The breakfast every morning was tasty.

I booked the superior room, and had emailed the hotel regarding the fact that my husband is 6’5 and needed to make sure he would fit since I know that the hotels with a view of the Caladria tend to be a little older and small. I also asked if its not to let me know so I am able to find another hotel that would fit our requirements. Well in the email responses Christina made it seem like it wouldn’t be an issue at all. Well we got into our room last night and I have to say the shower was a 2x3 ft area.... see pics. The bed was extremely tiny, I’m guessing it’s a wide lens camera that they use when taking photos for the website... because man it’s tiny and claustrophobic. I spoke to Julia, who btw is really nice, said the only other option is the downgraded room without a view but that they wouldn’t credit me for the additional fee I paid for the superior room. I was ok with the downgraded room but they should credit me for what I am not using.
Oh and you may want to know that they have a “safety light that is in front of your bed.... I have attached pics of what it looks like even with a thick towel covering it.... um good luck trying to sleep with that shinning in your eyes. I really think that they are doing their best but I wish the photos were more accurate. Especially considering the fact that I emailed them my concerns prior to booking ...
Not good karma to do this to people and ruin their vacation.

We traveled to Greece for our honeymoon in September of 2016 (I am late to post this review!) and decided to split our time in Santorini at this hotel and one of the super fancy honeymoon suite hotels in Oia. We started here and I must say - we fell so in love with this hotel that we didn't want to leave! It's a small, family run hotel - and the staff was incredibly friendly and made us feel very welcome. We got a standard room with partial ocean view / shared balcony and I must say - it was perfect. I thought the shared balcony would be annoying but it wasn't in the least. We still felt like the world was ours and we were alone in watching the beautiful sunset from right outside our room. It's perfectly located - a 10 minute walk to the center of Fira (or a super fast / easy bus ride there) - but quieter and more quaint as it is removed from Fira just enough to be peaceful. The complimentary breakfast was incredible! All in all we have nothing but positive things to say about this hotel. Our room was on the small size and the bathroom was definitely small but it didn't bother us at all. It was well designed and felt cozy not cramped. Other American travelers may not agree but we thought it was perfect!

We are currently on the last day of our stay at Hotel Galini, a family-run hotel in Firostefani. I must say that our stay has exceeded all my expectations! Fantastic view from hotel grounds and our room balcony (Room 115, private balcony -- thank you, Christina!). Based on all the reviews I've read, this room is supposedly the best in terms of placement, convenience, and view! Can't argue there! 👍🏼

Breakfast is included, which gives you 5 or 6 options to choose from the menu. Our room and the grounds are spotlessly clean. Location is right by the parking lot where airport pickup and dropoff happens (extremely convenient) and a few steps (North) from a small convenience store. 10min walk to Fira.

Most of all, Christina and her mom and dad were very helpful -- giving advice about car rental or which bus to take to Santo Wines. They are very friendly and always there to help!

Needless to say, I have been on Tripadvisor for many years and always said I'd save my first review for a truly fantastic stay!

Thank you once again, Christina (and family!)
