My wife and i truly enjoyed our stay at Homeric Poems Hotel its perfectly located with breathtaking caldera views, the rooms are a good size, clean, and smelled great. Private balcony and order to make breakfast daily, which i do miss! The pancakes, fresh orange juice, eggs and bacon were my go to. The staff were all fantastic, the surround restaurants were great. As many have mention i was lucky to come across this hotel prefect way to spend my birthday. Definitely will return. Would be more than happy to answer any questions about this property.
We loved our stay at Homeric Poems. I'll give them credit, they really go the extra mile - Nespresso espresso machines in every single room, Nespresso pods (not even the generic pods!), fresh squeezed orange juice every morning, a refreshing ice-cold lemonade drink when you check-in, and more. We absolutely loved our room with a private balcony overlooking the Caldera. It was paradise to simply enjoy the view from our balcony, eat breakfast every morning with that incredible view, swim by the pool, and sunbathe. We did a bit of island-hopping and by this point in our trip, it was nice to be able to relax and enjoy the views and pool. We found the hotel staff incredibly kind and genuinely appreciate the manager, who gave us great recommendations. When we filled out our breakfast form each day the manager encouraged us to order more items and try everything the hotel had to offer. Loved the breakfast options of eggs, pancakes, Greek yogurt, fruit, cappuccino, freshly squeezed orange juice, and other items. Highly recommend the croissants. We also really enjoyed the restaurant for dinner - a really easy way to have dinner overlooking the Caldera and I loved the truffle pappardelle pasta. Cocktails were absolutely fantastic. As someone who was last in Santorini in 2004, I was really surprised by the exponential increase in tourism (there's a McDonald's and a Sephora in Fira!). I will say that if you're going to go to Santorini and want to experience the views of the Caldera, absolutely stay here at Homeric Poems. We were incredibly grateful that we could enjoy the tranquility of Homeric Poems, have a private balcony overlooking the caldera, enjoy the delicious breakfast, cocktails, and dinner, and swim in the pool. It was a bit shocking to me to leave the refuge of Homeric Poems at times and experience the hordes of tourists staging various photoshoots (including attempting to climb roofs and even churches). We unexpectedly hiked Skaros Rock and that provided a bit of escape from the crush of tourists. I will also mention some guests engage in some intense photoshoots at Homeric Poems (there was a chick in an evening gown doing a photoshoot at the pool while we ate breakfast early one morning), so just a warning you will definitely stumble across a few photoshoots every day of your stay. Mentioning to simply to mentally prepare you. particularly because it was a contrast to our more chill experiences in Perissa Beach, Naxos, and Paros. I still think Homeric Poems is the absolute best to stay out of Fira, Imerovigli, Firestefani, and Oia and it was the best way to enjoy the views of the Caldera in calm tranquility without the crush of tourists. We were grateful we spent half of our time in Santorini in Perissa (which was much more laid back) so if you're able to, it might be worth splitting up your trip. I also may have scheduled more excursions from Homeric Poems (i.e., sailing) to avoid the crowds and then do more beach days in Perissa.…
We visited Santorini this past week. With so many options available, we were SO LUCKY to find the Homeric Poems. First, the service is the best I have ever experienced. We travel often to many places in North America and Europe. The entire staff at the Homeric Poems (especially Nick) are truly unbelievable. The rooms are very nice, clean and welcoming. Breakfast served at your rooms terrace. AND of course the views of the Caldera and sunsets are stunning. The location is excellent for visiting all parts of the island and is walkable to many, many restaurants. I cannot imaging a better place to stay in Santorini.
Highly recommend staying at Homeric Poems! The rooms are private and clean, you get the most picturesque views from the balcony, where the breakfast is served. Location is fantastic -- you can walk to Fira within 10 minutes and Imerovigli within 10 minutes. It's a good balance of being quiet and peaceful, but with access to the buzz of Fira if you need it (it's actually perfect because all the buses start from Fira too!). And last, and by no means least -- the service. From the moment you walk in you're greeted by the most courteous staff. They help you organise transport and give great restaurant recommendations.
Homeric Poems lived up to the reviews. You are greeted by the most courteous, helpful staff and absolutely breathtaking views. Well located (but prepare for a ton of steps!) but quiet-a real romantic escape. Not particularly child-friendly but a haven for couples (or exhausted parents like us, who have managed a few days away!) Superb service-your every whim catered for. Only tiny niggle is our bathroom (standard double) was teeny but bed and room comfortable and sparkling clean. Really it is ALL about the view in Santorini and this hotel has them in spades. Highly recommend. Thank you for a wonderful break.
