We planned this trip way too close to departure. So just full disclosure in that our options were limited. On this trip we took our parents so had two rooms at all locations.

We totally understand why most say it is average. We would agree but said very good in our case because of the advantages provided below.

This hotel has a pool which was great. It is off of the beaten path but close, very close, to the bus stop and a 1 minute walk to the rim. So it was away from the tourists. The view from our room was nice as you looked across the island at the water (but not the caldera side). So in contrast to other reviewers, it has views, just not of the side everyone want to see. My parents got a room without any windows. It was the last room in the hotel We should have switched but their room was on the ground floor so no steps were required to access the room and the hotel had no elevator.
So if you go here DO NOT take the room downstairs in the corner. In fact if you stay, just say you want to be upstairs with a view.

Breakfast was not great. Then again, i am not sure breakfast is good at any place on Santorini. This was not our first trip there. Santorini is a must stop, but don't expect anything to match what you pay for. Having said that read on....

There is a family restaurant nearby (1 minute on foot heading south) that was OUTSTANDING! It was called Two Brothers/ Ta duo adelfia. It is in Firostefani. So, do NOT confuse this with the Two Brothers on the rim in Thera which is NOT the same place. The family made simply outstanding food. We have been to Greece many times and as i had no expectations from Santorini as it is just a tourist trap, I would go back to this island just eat there again. There is a review for this restaurant in tripadvisor written by us.

So, to sum up. If you want a pool, nice view across the island's east side, close to bus stop and rim but away from tourists consider this place. Otherwise just look somewhere else.

The hotel is just a short walk from the central part of town. Which was very nice, the walk along the caldera edge was very nice. The rooms where not super clean, but not too bad. The cleaners like to smoke while they clean your room (not fun for non-smokers). The breakfast was nice, and they where well organized. A good budget hotel.

There were some interesting things that happened to us at the Margarita. First, we were picked up by a driver that didn't speak English and couldn't quite seem to figure out who it was he was to pick up and where he was to deposit them.

Second, it rained while we were on Santorini. Rivers of rain ran down the street. Our room was in a separate building about 1/2 block from the rest of the hotel. I assume it was overflow. It rained so much that we were unable to go to the main building for breakfast for quite awhile. Breakfast was good and the staff was very friendly and accomodating about bringing extra coffee, etc.

It was odd though that no one cleaned our room while we were there - no wastecan emptied, no bed made...nothing. Considering nothing goes into the toilets in Greece (there is a wastecan next to all toilets), not having the trash emptied was gross!

We liked the hotel and enjoyed sitting on our balcony. No view of the Caldera from the Santorini. If the weather had permitted, I think we would have had a decent view off our balcony.

Santorini is hilly and we walked up and down, a lot, but the location is not bad at all. I would likely go back to the Margarita.

I would definitely recommend this place. Our room was big and clean, as was the rest of the hotel, and the bed was super comfortable - perfect to get a good night's sleep. The staff was friendly and helpful, they gave us some great advice on things to do and places to eat. They also offered to help with transport and organising tickets for trips. The location is really good as well, it's a bit outside of Fira which means it's quiet, but it only takes about 10 minutes to walk to the city centre. And to round it all up the breakfast was amazing too.

The hotel itself is really pretty and well built. It has been renovated recently and everything inside the rooms smell fresh and clean.
The location is very convenient, 1 min walk from the Caldera and 5 from Fira centre where all the stores and clubs are.
The breakfast buffet was super rich and kept us through the whole day.
The stuff, especially the cute reception boy were really helpful and polite. They even booked us an amazing cruise.
I will definitely go back there.

Room was very clean, the breakfast was great and tasteful with lot options. Very friendly and helpful staff. The hotel is well located as you are just a short walk from the amazing view on the caldera and close to the city center. And also they keep the measures against corona. All the staff wear masks and gloves and they were everywhere sanitizer.

Overall a very nice stay! The rooms were very clean and we were given fresh towels and bed sheets every day, and all the utilities worked fine. The receptionist, Efren, was very welcoming and useful, and the complimentary breakfast had a wide range of fulfilling options. The location was a convenient; a walk away from Fira were you can take a range of busses. Considering the low price, a very satisfactory stay!

Room with a small balcony very clean and nice. The hotel is really quiet, the swimming pool is good. The breakfast is great (but could be even better with fresh juice). The staff is friendly and helpful. The hotel is well located as you are just a short walk from the amazing view on the caldera. But just take into account that if you want to use public buses, the terminal is 20 minutes walking and the timetable is very changing (almost every day) so in this case you might want to be closer from the terminal. But the hotel itself is really nice and we loved our stay.

This was a lovely hotel on outskirts of Fira (10 minute walk).

The hotel seemed to have been recently renovated, breakfast had a great selection, the staff was very friendly, lovely pool area and pool bar.

The bedroom, bed and bathroom were all very small, not much room for luggage. Bed not very comfortable. Our room had a big balcony on the side (shame there was no sun loungers).

We would stay here again if returning to Santorini.

Both myself and partner would definitely return to this hotel! It must have been renovated since some of these pics have been posted as the pool area and the rooms look totally different now. Beds were comfy, the aircon worked and we had a lovely view from balcony.
Breakfast was plentiful and very nice.
Staff were all friendly and organised trips for us. They also organised pick up from ferry and then to airport.
Fresh and clean! Will hopefully be back next year!

Margarita would not have a room for that many individuals. We were with four in our group and we got two rooms.
