Although I would have preferred to have this small boutique hotel undiscovered by other guests, it is no doubt that this place deserves a top rating for its qualities.

The location is in quiet area of the town not far from the action and not to far from the main bus stop. Outside of the hotel you quickly get a fantastic vue of the sea. The room we where given was not only very large and utterly stylish. Apparently recently refurbished by a designer. The way the room was lightened made it a pleasure to be back to the room at night afer a long day. Charming, colourful paintings , supposedly made by the owner (family?) of the hotel, was found several places around. Access to the room via a small allay and external steps wich gave impression of living in a small village - really greek feeling!

The staff itself was exceptionally friendly and serviceminded - seldom experienced such a interest in giving helpful recommendations of what to do at a destination. Santorini is without doubt full of tourist traps, and therefore an insider’s tips are of of extra high value here. Assistanse with bus scheduelse and further travel arrangements were provided as you were hosting a friend.
The only slightly negative to remark was that the hotel this year did not yet provide a breakfast solution, but the area was full of small cafes etc and a bakery was just down the street. And our room was even provided by a kitchenette.

Wish this hotel and its staff will be in just as good shape next time I am in Santorini - thank you for a wonderful stay!

Efi and her family were so welcoming. This hotel is just on the outskirts of Fira, but perfect away from the hustle and bustle of the town.

A 10 min walk turning right out of the hotel takes you up a slight hill and then turn left down cobbled streets to the upper part of Fira, where there are numerous gift shops, restaurants and the lift down to the quaint harbour. Some of the restaurants have great views over the caldera.

A 10 min walk turning left and then right takes you to the centre of the town and the bus station and the central square, again there are many cafes and restaurants.

We stayed 3 nights and had an upper floor room at the back of the hotel, which was beautiful. The photos do not do the room justice. Huge balcony outside.

Efi speaks perfect English and is quite happy to suggest or help in anyway to make your holiday more enjoyable.

The rooms were immaculate, toiletries were provided.

All over the hotel are Efi's father's paintings which makes this hotel very unique.

I would definitely stay her again if I return.

Fantastic budget hotel just 10 minutes away from all the action of Fira and the bus station. Rooms are perfect WiFi great and beds comfortable and wonderfully cleaned with fresh towels daily. Efi our host speaks perfect English and was wonderfully informed and helpful throughout the trip. Even lending us an umbrella on the one night it rained. If you are looking for the perfect base to explore the island on a budget then you can't do better than book here. Its quiet at night as well so you'll get a good nights sleep without the loud noise of Fira city center with its bars and clubs. I would give it six stars if I could. Highly recommended.

My husband and I enjoyed this great affordable hotel in what we think is the best area of the island to explore everything. The girl at reception was incredible. Very welcoming and ready to help in any way possible. Thanks so much!

Our room was safe, clean and had a beautiful view of the land and sea. It was also perfectly located - out of the bustle of Fira, but a mere 10 minute walk to everything we wanted and needed. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Highly recommend!

Excellent owner, the friendliest and nicest we have ever met. The room was beautiful, spacious, clean, modern decorated and the location was good. The owner gave us many useful tips about the island.

When we were searching for a hotel to stay during our 7 day trip to Santorini we came across this hotel on many hotel websites. We were weary as there were only 2 written reviews years ago. However, we decided to take the risk as the price and location were very good.

Location: The location of the hotel is in a quite area which is very peaceful both in the morning and when its time to sleep. The walk to the center of Fira (including shops, bank, tour offices, grocery store and bus station) is about 5-7minutes. GREAT LOCATION!!

Room: We were also a little hesitant of the room in the tower. But the circular room was so interesting and fun, We actually preferred it and were soo happy we had the chance to stay in it. The room is spotlessly cleaned everyday. Fresh sheets and towels are always provided. A small fridge is provided, the A/C is fantastic and for all the fussy girls whom can't trust other hairdryers, I managed just fine with the one provided.

Lastly, the hotel fit our needs and our budget. It was clean, safe, and authentic. The hotel is family run and they are always available to suggest areas or beaches you must see.

The only negative thing we have to say...is that our 7 days in Santorini and especially at this wonderful hotel was short lived. We are planning a trip back real soon and this hotel is at the top of our list.

Enjoy your time here...and take it from us, we would not suggest a hotel if it wasn't safe, clean and in a good location. :)

Have fun!!!

I didn't research much about our trip before coming to Santorini. I was so glad that we found Argonaftes based on good reviews. The manager Efi was very kind, knowledgeable and shared so much about Santorini. She gave many good advice about where to eat and activities, it made such a tremendous difference on our overall stay and experience.

The hotel is right at the edge of Fira and Firostefani which is about 10min walk from the Fira central bus station. You can get to airport, Oia, etc easily following the bus schedule. Efi will tell you more. You will see that Fira being right at the center is way too busy. Argonaftes' location is just perfect and there are loads of restaurants and shops along the pedestrian walk.

We had the morning breakfast and it was perfect. Served within its terrace, you can enjoy the fresh air, morning breeze with healthy breakfast. I love the Greek yogurt with fresh fruits.

The entire property has been tastefully decorated by the beautiful artworks of Efi's father. You will never find another hotel or b&b with this style and character. The room is very clean and spacious. Never a problem with wifi.

Argonaftes is a very lovely family run business. Santorini needless to say is beautiful. The number of room is very limited. Book early to avoid disappointment.

This is a family-run operation a short walk from Fira, but away from the hubbub and noise of the town center. We enjoyed the hospitality and distinctive rooms, and had a relaxing time. Conveniently located near the walking path to Firostefani & Imerovigli.

I can't say enough about my stay at the Argonaftes Villa. Getting here by local transport was easy and as soon as I arrived I felt welcome and cared for. Having grown up in Santorini, Efi has excellent local knowledge and was happy to help in any way. Her suggestions of things to do were bang on! My room was comfortable, quiet, clean and had all I needed including a great internet connection. The breakfast was generous and kept me going for a good part of the day. Located just around the corner from the walking street that connects Fira and Imerovigli I found the location perfect. Situated between Fira and Imerovigli I could walk to the heart of Fira in under 5 minutes and Imerovigli was a manageable stroll in the other direction. I am truly sorry to be leaving later today.
