Loved the Almyris. Stayed there 5 nights in September. Great location and the place was tidy and clean. Definitely will go back there. Friendly and helpful staff as well. Within walking distance to the ferry terminal.

After a less than enjoyable stay in an average place in Athens we couldn't have been more thrilled with Almyris. From the moment we arrived Stellos was absolutely wonderful. He checked us in, put our bags aside (we arrived before check in) and his mother even put the bags in our room for us later. Stellos then sat us down at the courtyard table and took us through everything in Milos from restaurants, boat tours, car/ATV hire, sunset spots and museums. He let us know when he would be about during the morning and evening and any request was never a problem. My partner and I were up at 4.30am to catch the ferry after a 22 hour flight from Australia. Seeing we were tired he drove us 5 mins down the road to the beach so we didn't have to walk(how nice). Stellos even organised our washing. The rooms are beautiful, modern and super clean. The bathrooms while small are lovely and our room even had its own courtyard with tree cover which was great in the afternoon/evening to sit and have a drink as things cooled down. The air conditioning was beautiful, quiet and made sleeping easy in the heat. The location was perfect. Just off the main road, 500 Metres from the port which meant we were close to everything but far away enough from any noise. We even had a supermarket around the corner. We originally looked at staying at another place about 1.5-2km from the port but we wouldn't never consider coming back to anywhere else than Almyris again. Special mention goes to Stellos and his mother. You made our stay very special.

Emmanouela & Stelios Gaitønis are the two people who met us when we arrived in Almyris. They carried our bags to our room and attended to not demanding tasks we asked like shifting to a 2 twin beds instead of a queen-size. In the end my friend and I decided not to transfer after they secured us one. They provided us with beach towels when we asked and made time to converse with us. Emmanouela even extended herself driving us back to the ferry as we were leaving and declined any gratuity we offered. We just have to pay it forward, we told her. Our room was clean and comfortable. The balcony is great to have which we used to sit in and talk. It was also where we hang our wet clothes. The location of Almyris is also convenient to restaurants, rental cars, shops and ferry. Very bad experience with this accomodation. I have booked them on booking.com, and due to issues related to their bank, they did not recognize the payment and canceled my booking. I sent the payment confirmation but still they did not care and did not want to reinstate my booking as they already sold that room. Customer service inexistant, nobody answers the phones and they reply back in days. I would be carefull when booking with them (have a plan B in case you have issues)
