It was great! A bit touristy but easy to go with our rental car to different places. I would recommend this destination to people with kids, very safe, price friendly and Greeks are nice. Samarian Gorge, Chania and Elafonisi is a must to visit.

We came to the hotel and we were welcomed warmly by a very nice staff. The room was very nice, clean and had whatever we needed. The pool was great with amazing sunbeds, but the hotel is located on the beach so you can choose where you want to go. It's also located near the sentrum of Platanias with great... More

Right in the heart of the popular village of Platanias, on the seaside. A good and affordable solution if you plan to stay outdoors most of the time. Our room was not very spacious nor the bathroom but it was functional. Very polite and helpful staff. Very clean.

We visited Platanias Mare for the second time in July 2013. The hotel is immaculate throughout, staff are very friendly and helpful. Rooms are adequate, bed was a little hard though. Breakfast is a small choice of continental with 2 or 3 items of hot items, either bacon and eggs or sausage and eggs. Air conditioning and room safe are... More

thsi establishment is mainly visited by Scandinavian people, a few eastern Europeans as well. Very friendly staff. Located next to the beach it offers spacious and modern rooms at a very good price. Totally recommendable. Platanias itself is more quiet than Agia Marina which offers large Beach clubs and nighttime entertainment as well as a much better beach - sand... More

Just got back from a week at the Platanias Mare and it was a lovely place to stay. The hotel is right on the beach with just a small walk to the town centre where there were numerous restaurants. The staff are all very helpful and will give you assistance if needed. All in all it was a fantastic break... More

We stayed here end of August 2011 and were very pleased! The hotel is close to the beach and centre of Platanias but still there were no noise at night, we slept very well! Platanias is very touristic but it offers a lot of nice restaurants, Socrates in old Platanias was really good! The rooms are cozy and we even... More
