I just ended a five night stay here. It was everything I could have asked for. The bungalow was charming, clean and cozy and Amaya(?) is sweet and helpful. The garden is beautiful and Christophe was very helpful. I will definitely stay here if I ever come back to Santa Teresa. Experiencing a rainstorm while staying in the bungalow was... More

I stayed at this hotel for 10 days and I had the best time I could possibly have had. The bungalows are spacious and comfortable with all the amenities needed, the outside is amazingly beautiful, right in the middle of nature, with a swimming pool and palm trees everywhere. Each bungalow has a small outside balcony where you can hang... More

We spent 4 nights there while we were supposed to stay only 1! Charming bungalow, very quiet place with a nice garden (far from the dust if the road) and small swimming pool (just perfect to refresh when it's too hot to stay on the beach), close to the beach, very kind host and good price! It was hard to... More

My husband, I and 2 young kids enjoyed 4 nights at this charming hotel. The location was good -- a little off of the main drag, but close enough to everything that walking was easy. The rooms are very big and spotless, and the beds are very comfortable. The deck, overlooking the small but lovely pool, is where we spent... More

My boyfriend and I recently traveled to Santa Teresa, Costa Rica and spent nine nights and 10 days at Luz de Luna. He had stayed here once before and had all great things to say. Everything he had said was true and exceeded all my expectations. I fell in love with this place. Our room was very clean and spacious.... More

We ended up paying around $15 per person per night. Nice place, big enough for a small group. Nice kitchen and porch. Very clean pool. And Cristophe is very nice and helpful. No ants and no noise. The only things I would change is maybe adding some shower accesories like the curtain, a caddy, a mat, and changing the sofa... More

We stayed three nights at Christophe's Luz de Luna. We picked that hotel after having an overlook of the place on the internet. Needless to say that we got even more than what we expected. Absolutely clean place, nice little pool surrounded by tropical plants, hammock on the porch and wildlife all around but no ants! If you need A/C,... More

This is a standard cabana but there is a much much better place to stay in Santa Teresa at a similar price point. Please look at my other posting as I've rated my stay here to the other place in the same town. We stayed in Luz de Luna for only one night. For the good, the woman was very... More

Just a lovely oasis in Santa Theresa. Very reasonable pricing - 40$ for a great amazingly homey shack, hammock in the porch, a pool, by the beach, very close to great restaurants, nice staff ( lovely Christoff)... Could you ask for more? Really enjoying my stay in here (came to S.T. For a week and spent the whole time here)

We stayed at Luz de Luna, based on NY Magazine recommendation, for four nights. My two friends and I were given a lovely "cabina" with two rooms, kitchen, lovely mosaic tiled bathroom and porch, complete with hammock. Pretty standard for relatively budget CR hotels, but this place has the added benefit of being staffed by the lovely and hospitable Sylvia.... More

“Make sure to keep your suitcases and bags shut during your stay because we had some mice come visit us at night and while we were out (to be expected when you're basically in the middle of the rain forest). Also keep food in the fridge to minimize visits from these friendly critters.”
