Staff reasonably helpful upon arrival. Outstanding amount paid with no change received. Garden pool and scenery beautiful, parking overcrowded not bike friendly and not secure with no gate to stop access from street. Room was relevatively clean but needs some maintanence. Leaking shower head fixed with plastic wrapped around it. Toothbrush holder and mouth rinse cup dirty, paint peeling between...

Second time at Rainbow Glen and it's still a favourite. We stayed in the same room, which has had a lick of paint and a few other small improvements which was a nice surprise. Our doggies love the place and were very excited by the kids staying there who were super keen to throw their ball. The pool is fantastic,...

Every year, over the December holidays we visit a new spot that isn t too far from Cape Town but far enough to get away from the noise and hustle of the year, doesn t break the bank and has a steady supply of vitamin D ( sunshine ). Rainbow Glen in Montagu on Route 62 was our gem-find for...

Me and my girlfriend stayed here for 3 nights whilst traveling round south Africa, with a view to climb after reading about the fantastic sport climbing in the area. Rainbow Glen is situated perfectly for the crags and mountains which hold these routes. We stayed in the almond chalet which was clean and tidy and very comfortable for what we...

My partner and I stayed in Rainbow Glen for four days in September 2015 with the aim of using it as a base for rock climbing in the Montagu area. Dave and Tara, the owners, were very friendly and helpful and being local climbers themselves gave us lots of tips for climbing and leisure. We stayed in one of the...

This was the perfect base from to explore the area around Montagu, and also close enough to walk to the eateries in the village. Our four nights was one of the highlights of our trip; our cottage was clean, comfortable and quaint, the owners were most helpful and gracious, the wifi is free, and the setting at the foot of...

Owners were friendly and accommodating. They've done a sterling job at making this tiny gem a pleasant break away from day-to-day life for small families. Rainbow Glen hides perfectly behind a small mountain and catches the day-time sun over the pool area. Perfect setup for kids and definitely safe. The best thing was that we didn't have to keep an...

We had a wonderful, relaxing stay at Rainbow Glen. The beautiful lawn, swimming pool, the horses, the bunnies - the kids had a ball and were very sad to leave. The chalets are adequate - the white beautifully soft bed linen was a nice surprise though. We will definitely be back.

Rainbow Glen - what a Gem! For the price you cannot expect luxury, but you do get your money's worth. Accommodation (we stayed in Tupenny), though small, is clean, neat and well equipped for self catering. Crisp white sheets and comfortable mattress ensured a good night's sleep. Terrain is well maintained and has a lush carpet of grass, ideal for...

There behind that solid green fence is a weary traveller's sanctuary, a secluded peaceful area, surrounded by flowering trees, rolling lawn, river and mountain, and that just 500 meter from town. Ideal spot to access the hiking trails. Cottage is basic, yet efficient, clean and adequate space for the two of us during our three day stay. The porch feels...
