Magic Mountain is an easy 1.5-drive (including ferry) from Tromso. Having a great view, it is a perfect place to base oneself to explore the nearby area. While rooms are on the simple, spartan side, the facilities were clean. Just remember to bring your own soap and shampoo, since it isn't provided. The included meals were surprisingly tasty and quite...

I didn't even stay here but I'm still going to give this place a 5 star rating because I spent all my time here when vacationing to Lyngenseidet. The staff could not be more friendly. They were always smiling, always accommodating, it was a great place to get a beer, it was a great place to talk to guides, the...

This place has a good location and a very good view. There is a kitchen to use for everybody ( like with a hostel) but you can also sign in for dinner . If you do , try to get the reindeer stew, it's delicious. In the morning you get a simple but sufficient breakfast. This is an old building...

Really laid back and warm place. Great location and comfortable rooms that one would associate with lodge type accommodation. Lent out snowshoes at no cost so I could enjoy a quick afternoon walk in the surrounding area. Did not have breakfast, but ordered the dinner which I enjoyed with some fellow travellers in the dining room. There is a supermarket...

Big warm rooms, sufficient hot water, big common kitchen, boss cute babe, and marvelous sea and snow mountain view. The place is quiet and neat. Guests need to bring basic toilet requisites and slippers. Stay in a peaceful mountain and see sunrise just outside the window. Is this your dream.

We stayed at the lodge on an ice climbing trip and it was amazing. We took a punt on going early season and feared there not being any ice but got lucky. Regardless Lyngen itself and the lodge in particular are so good that had there been no ice to climb it would have still been worthwhile.

The rooms are really big - so big that you can probably get around in a wheel chair - except maybe in the shower. Wifi works and the view to the Fjord is splendid. We were allowed to arrive after hours arranging a door code for entry. It was not very cheap, but almost nothing is cheap in Norway.

The place is in great place just above ferry to Olderfjord. View isn't bad either. Staff is extremely good and helpful so no cons there. Breakfast (not included) was better than I ever could think as there has been some not so good breakfasts in Norway before. It wasn't a full buffet as in Finland but very fresh and good...

We didn't feel ourselves welcome. Custom service was poor, and communication was sometimes difficult when staff didn't speak english at all. But view was beautiful and beds were good. Sauna was one reason why we decided to choose this hotel, but we didn't except that it costs 500 krones.

We stayed two nights at this place during our roadtrip in Northern Norway and we were really pleased with our stay. The view from the hotel is amazing and the staff was really friendly. The owners of the lodge, Henrika and Patrik, recommended us to visit the glacier (Steindahl) and it was one of the highlights of our trip. We...
