We had a wonderful stay of 2 nights. ( King ) Georg greeted us upon arrival @ 21 with his witty sense of humor, he makes you feel so welcome, more of a friend than a guest. Georg and Claudia has ensured the property is well maintained and has looked into every little detail to ensure that everything is of a high standard. The room was immaculately clean, quality furnishings and equipment's. Beautiful views while looking out at the mountains or garden. The room had a large private bathroom equipped with a shower, bathrobe, toiletries, towel, washing machine. Our outdoor area had a barbeque and heated spa or tub which was simply mind-blowing and adds to the relaxation after a long day at cradle mountain. We will definitely return!!!! Oh and once again lovely friendly hosts. Thanks Georg for the recommendations in relation to places to visit and shorter routes to reach our places. We truly enjoyed everything about this lovely home with lots of privacy.

My wife and I stayed for several days at this wonderful home. Our hosts, Claudia and George were very gracious and entertaining. We are dog lovers too, and their two dogs were so well trained and fun to interact with. Of course, if you prefer not to have the dogs near, then their owners will ensure that they remain sequestered. The guest rooms are supremely comfortable and well equipped. The views of the hills and mountains from both rooms are stunning! I am quite sure that you will find no better accomodation anywhere in Tasmania.

Response from Claudia N, Owner at Bed and Breakfast @21

Hi Sabby, we are so sorry to hear about your unfortunate experience. That was truly not our attention. We would like to take this change to comment on your points.. 1. Bad service, looking what we are doing in our room: This is written down in the brochure in your room: "The studio is fully self-contained and as such is not serviced on a daily basis. We empty your rubbish daily and: A towel hanging up means “I use it again”. A towel on the floor means “Please exchange”." Towels were on the floor in your bathroom for us to change daily. We also emptied your overflowing bins daily. Everyday we filled up your breakfast provisions (cereals, toast, jam, honey, butter, fresh fruit, milk, orange juice, cookies, tea, coffee and fresh farm eggs). Not sure how we could have done this without going into your room? Please be assured, that we were not interested what you were doing in the room. You asked us to help buying 90 kg honey. My husband did countless phone calls and did run around to ask people. He found a place in Devonport, drove there to bring you a sample back. Next day you bought the 90 kg honey, then demanded that we open our garage door so you can put the honey into our garage for storage. All this without saying a simple please or thank you. 2. walking upstairs loudly at 6am to wake you up We are not living upstairs, we do live on the other side of the house and at 6am we are usually still asleep :) The Guest Room is upstairs and we had a nice couple staying there, they usually had breakfast around 8.30am. We are pretty sure that they didn't walk around at 6am to wake you up and it would have been a bit strange for us to go into their room and walk around at 6am. We really have no idea what you heard... 3. Spa It is written in our brochure, on our website etc. that the spa is closed from June - October, because it is too cold. You wanted to have the spa, so we filled it up without saying anything and gave you extra towels for the spa. 4. Leaving earlier You wanted to leave a day earlier and a refund for that night. When we refused to give you the refund you went from very unfriendly (since day one) to being very rude. That is when my husband asked you what do you suggest we do differently? We were very friendly and treated your whole family with respect. We helped you, stored your honey and filled up the spa without extra cost. We offer a very nice, clean and spacious studio with beautiful views, kitchen, BBQ etc. You paid for 4 people $145 per night, which is a very good price for this good service. You didn't answer to that question. We have worked in the hospitality industry for over 20 years and we know that customers happiness is paramount, we genuinely want our guests to have a wonderful time and to enjoy their stay. But just sometimes our best efforts fail as some guests arrive with issues that really have nothing to do with us or their stay. Claudia and Georg

Claudia and George are the perfect hosts - they are there and help you when you need it, but they respect always your privacy. From their house you can explore the most beautiful parts of Tasmania: Cradle Mountain, Stanley, the incredible Gunn Plains Cave, the Leven Canyon, Sheffield, wildlife parks, several National Parks, gorgeous beaches etc. George's hints and tips are always useful, accurate and reliable. And if it's a bit cool in Tassie, it's wonderful to come home in a cosy room with a warm and large bed! In the garden you can see kangaroos, fairy wrens, cockatoos and rabbits, We warmly recommend this B&B for a stay of more than one night!
