I had been looking forward to spending time on a working dairy farm, but our stay at this place far exceeded my expectations. The private cottage is a gem, cozy and designed with great thoughtfulness. Hosts Marain and Noel Hurley greeted us and were patient and friendly, answering our many questions about New Zealand farming. They welcomed us to stroll through their breathtaking property, where the next morning we also met and chatted with their tenant dairy farmer, Brent. The setting is so beautiful and peaceful, we were sorry to leave after only one night. One other note: the breakfast provided in the cottage also was exceptional, particularly the wonderful yogurt and muesli. Our time here will surely rank among the highlights of our entire New Zealand travels.

This beautiful little cottage is located in a rural area near Otorohanga. It does have a mini kitchenette which does not include a stove, but was otherwise very well equipped. The room was spacious, very clean, and well decorated. The hosts were very pleasant, and helpful, especially regarding information about attractions and travel routes in the area. The bed was very comfortable. This was our first experience with a B&B that left breakfast ( bread, jam, cereal, yogurt, and fruit ) in the room prior to our arrival.

Wow this place is like its owners outstanding. Secluded, private, away from the crowds. So quiet but so delightful. A must. We couldn't fault it. Wonderful garden and views. Noel and Marain could not do enough to make us feel at home. Perfection.
