Beach, Bush, and Lake, are all just a short stroll away. The park is in sheltered bushland with the Murramarang National Park on three sides. The top of our park has nostalgic-rustic cottages (2br) and standard park cabins (1br) plus a luxury van for couples. The bushland camping ground has spacious, individually crafted sites for the biggest tents and vans; and is popular with overseas visitors looking for a real Aussie camping experience. All accommodation have a wood-fired BBQ, which doubles as an open fireplace when the lid is put up. ... Wildlife: visiting through the park are kangaroos, wallabies, possums, bandicoots, and goannas. Birds: three spectacular birds abound; green & red King Parrots, red & blue Rosellas, and multi-coloured Rainbow Lorikeets. Shore birds and majestic pelicans can be found down at the lake. Activities: birdwatching, boating, bushwalking, fishing, kayaking, sailing, swimming, sunbathing, surfing, and wading in the shallows for the little ones. ... The park has a general store with regional specialities and a cafe serving coffee from locally roasted beans. Batemans Bay is 20 minutes away for town things, including a cinema for that third rainy day.

Tried to book this place for Jan long weekend. Allowed me to enter 5 adults x 2 campsites, took the booking. Then cancelled the booking the next day. Made the assumption that 5 adults on 2 campsites are not ‘family friendly’, ‘not our target market on this weekend only’, and

Dear Kris, Many thanks for taking the time to review the camping spots in our park. We continue to invest in the campground so that it maintains its high ranking. But it is the natural beauty and the quietness of the surrounds that keeps customers coming back. All the best, Andrew & Julia

Hi Barry, Thanks for taking the time to write your review, seven months after you stayed with us. As I recall, we offered you a campsite in the upper campground away from the tree work when you stayed with us last November 2017, but your chose the lower campground. And when I did discuss the daytime noise and inconvenience, but you mentioned that you would be walking most of the day, and thus it would not affect you too adversely. Sorry if we had different understandings. We have to do tree pruning and felling to maintain campground safety. As far as your neighbours on the sites some 10 metres away, some people do not have good camping manners. We try to screen out undesirables and advise people in advance of behaviour expectations - but sometimes that is not enough. We are sorry you had a rough night. I cannot remember if you complained to us, or to them, or what I did as its 12 months ago now. We do take campground serenity seriously all the time. The shop is open to park guests mid-week in the low seasons for those emergency supplies - just ring the intercom button. In the quiet times, the shop is not open to the public, but for park guests, we will always try to help them out. I note that you also had campsite V75 (like the comment above) and thus hopefully you enjoyed the bush in the late afternoon and night time. Regards, Andrew
