My husband and I stayed here for two nights, the first two nights of our two-week trip around the Yucatan. The Hacienda Santo Domingo is a beautiful place within 10-minutes walk of Izamal Centro cathedral. The grounds have been lovingly kept. There is a covered palapa dining area next to the pool for breakfast, and another dining area near the...

This small hotel in the middle of yucatan's jungle in small town of izamal is perfect in many ways. The rooms are pretty, great and efficient decoration, very good restaurant and very attentive nice owners.

Very clean and comfortable room in a garden setting. Greeted with a refreshing drink when we arrived, Harrald was a gracious and attentive host with friendly staff. The pool was clean and refreshing also. Breakfasts were simple and delicious. We were lucky enough to enjoy an amazing dinner meal prepared on site our 2nd night. I don't know how often...

We booked a room here last-minute while on a Yucatan road trip, and were so happy we did. We arrived after dark and were met by the friendly doggie, who greeted us at the gate, and then by Harold the owner. Check-in was at a beautiful outdoor bar where we sipped fresh Margaritas while completing the paperwork. He and his...

Our stay at this hotel was so relaxing. It is set on some beautiful acreage just outside of Izamal. We walked around Izamal for a few hours and returned to our clean, air conditioned room to change into bathing suits so we could cool off in the pool. Harold, the owner, brought us some mineral water, and I was in...

First of all: If you're on the Yucatan Peninsula and you're traveling around, stop in Izamal, a small town off the beaten track. We arrived pretty late on a week day and were welcomed friendly, almost like coming home from a long trip. The owner Harald awaited us with a cold drink which was just what we needed after a-day-long...

This is one of the most welcoming and relaxing places we have stayed in many years of travelling. We returned after staying here four nights a year ago for Navidad, and this time three nights for Ano Nuevos; special dinners to celebrate Christmas and NYE respectively. We would love to come back again, but next year we will be returning...

We stayed here as a family of four traveling the Yucatan, Guatemala and Belize with our teenaged children. We liked it so much, that we decided to stay two nights rather than one. Izamal is a beautiful Mexican village with very little tourists and definitely worth a visit. The property and the rooms are spacious, well kept, clean and sooo...

Really nice place and super friendly host. Sleept in a modern bungalow made from an old chicken House. Our host had for sure spend a lot of time making this hotel nice and cozy. Easy to recommend to other people who are visiting Izamal or just passing through! 😉

We had heard good things about the hacienda and wanted to give it a try. Our only regret is we didn't spend more time there. Upon arrival through the gated entrance, you are greeted and checked in with a welcome drink. The grounds are spacious and filled with animals, especially dogs and goats. The bar/restaurant area is by the pool...

Great review! thank you so much!! We are very happy about your positive comments . Maybe you have the chance to return another time and stay longer in order to enjoy our ameneties and hospitality longer. You are absolutley right about Izamal, its a quiet still traditional historic town with lots of colonial houses and ancient Maya pyramids to visit....
