As the name suggests, this was not a luxury resort. There are several upscale and mid-range boutique options if you’re looking for a more pampered experience, but given that we spent more on airfare than we’d like (it was X-Mas week, so there weren’t any good airfare deals to be found), we needed to keep our accommodation costs on the...

We spend two nights in the hostel. One night in the dormroom and onze in a cabin. The place is beautifull, nice wooden cabins and a lovely garden First to start are the prices, according to our lonely planet, the prices doubled in the last Six months. For that amount of money you expect a great room. Well it was...

The place is full of midges and mosquitoes, too expensive, but this is not the worst. One of the receptionists is very rude (that short-haired). He did not want to help nor solve the problems. I do not know how he can work with clients, the cleaning service would be better place for him. There are species of animals -...

We came to Isla Holbox without any reservation because we saw your hostel online but we didn't have any proper wifi to make a reservation. So when we arrived we were brought to your hostel by a golf cart. The first impression your hostel made was unbelievable. This is so much better and more beautiful than a 5* hotel! We...

Nice place to be in Holbox, very clean and with a good staff. You could feel the contact with the nature . They are like a family and trying to feel you in a family. The breakfast is fantastic, they made all the cakes ( tarta de platano or tarta de zanahoria are the bests) . I recommend this amazing...

This place was great and worth every peso. The owner, David, and his staff were very accommodating and helpful. Benjamin was an especially nice guy. I sent an email to them requesting a bed on the morning that I departed for Holbox. They promptly replied and reserved a bed for me, although they had to move me after the first...

The hostel is fab- let's get that straight first. Really friendly staff and it looks great. We were originally booked to spent 3 nights in the cabaña with sand floors: at first I was so taken by its rustic charm! Sadly though, we quickly got frustrated by the sand in the bed, sand in our clothes, sand everywhere, and the...

We had a private room with private bathroom for a couple of nights in the low-season. The room was cleaned on a daily basis. One important aspect for us was that the rooms are quiet, which was definitely satisfied. The center of the island (where an ATM, shops, many restaurants, etc. are located) can be reached in a few minutes...

We slept in private cabaña with sand floor. Bathroom was awesome. It's 15 min walking from harbour. 10 min (max) walking from center. 2 min walk to the beach. Nice to hang around with other guests during the evening. Nearby there is a very good local restaurant, we were the only foreigners during all time, all were locals having dinner...

We stayed here for 4 nights in the low season. The staff were fantastic - super friendly! The accommodation has a natural feel as the rooms are in wooden huts. The beds are pretty small if you are sharing and a major negative for us was no air con. We did have a private bathroom and the room was cleaned...
