Made a reservation at this hotel 3 months prior to traveling. I took a 4 hour flight from Tijuana to Cancun, then a 2 hour drive from Cancun to Chiquila (the port to Holbox), then a 20 minute ferry to the island, then a 10 minute golf cart ride from the port to this hotel. When I got there they...

We stayed here for a week and had a nice relaxing time. The location is amazing the sea and the wildlife, especially the birds, are out of this world. Staff were friendly and we had no real problems with the hotel apart from that I had been expecting the place to be a little more stylish and well finished. Everything...

My wife spoke her mind and now it is my turn. The hotel and the island have nothing to offer but a few activities that they want an arm and a leg for. Snorkelling $80 while i buy the whole kit for $20. Also there is no running away from the mosquitos and no mosquito repellents work here. The room...

Arrived here after a fun break in Cancun and found the property and Holbox in general a bit boring. The hotel takes the ecological theme to another dimension to save money on everything. Mosquitos are killers there and the ceiling fan very loose and my husband was scared it would break off and fly. lol

This was my first time to Holbox and it was just fantastic. I went there to celebrate the birthday of a friend and we all stayed at Villas Flamingos. What an experience- from the moment we arrived to the moment we left, every moment was special... The cabanas on the beach with the sound of the sea especially at night......

The hotel was amazing, by the sea, with the beautiful ocean view in every single room. The staff very helpful at any time, providing everything we needed even if it wasn't available in the hotel... they make our holidays just perfect!

This was our first trip to Holbox, and thanks to Trip advisor, I made the right choice on the hotel. Villas Flamingos is well located, right on the beach, which is important because many of the hotels in the "hotel zone" are actually across a road from the beach. So if that is important to you, take note. I had...

We have been on Holbox many times and Villa Flamingos is a wonderful place to stay. Many improvements have been made and it is a quiet oasis on the beach with all the amenities. We first stayed at Flamingos 11 years ago so we've seen the improvements over time. The rooms are nice, the gardens and surroundings are beautiful and...
