We initially stayed in a regular room (which we loved)but then moved to a Cielo at my sister-in-law's insistence,. Beautiful and luxurious! I loved the balcony overlooking the beach and bar. There was a jacuzzi on the 3rd floor which was great. The wedding was so much fun and the food and drinks delicious all week. When our cart didn't come to pick up up for an early morning ferry, the receptionist drove us in their golf cart to the ferry. Exceptional service all around
This hotel is truly one of a kind, everything is tailored to detail. The rooms are gorgeous along with the amenities and the food at the restaurant is delicious. I can’t rave enough about the staff, we booked all activities through their concierge Karina, and we were never disappointed. Everyone, absolutely everyone, was extremely nice and welcoming. The hospitality displayed in this hotel was unbelievable and we can’t wait to be back!! Thank you for the most incredible stay during our anniversary, it’s one we’ll never forget :)
Staying here for 5 nights to kick off our stay in Holbox, this was a little slice of heaven. It is a long way out of the way but that only adds to the tranquillity. the private beach means no one randomly walking through the resort. The Villas are amazing and the views from the Hot tubs are amazing. the beds are firm but as are the pillows but they are not the worst night sleep you'll have. The showers and taps are odd. the outdoor shower was much better than the inside shower as it was more than a trickle. the bar staff were attentive and the drinks were tasty and well priced. £5 for a Pina Colada hit the spot. The breakfasts were basic but more than enough to kickstart the day but the evening menu was fantastic. The Romantic couple's meal during the sunset was the perfect and worth every penny. This place has bikes you can use to get into town and back for which is a 5-minute ride Paddle boards are also available to make the most of the amazing water. The staff were great. the new front of house lady organised everything we wanted including whale shark swimming and added it the hotel cost which was very easy. It wasn't cheap but on the whole, but it was worth what we paid. definitely a 4 . 5 star experience…
While one of the main charms of Isla Holbox is that there really aren't crowds anywhere, the setting of Hotel Villas Flamingos being the next-to-last resort on the eastern end of the island make it particularly quiet and wonderful. The rooms and beds are amazing. Great showers. Beautiful waterfront where you can always find a chair and palapa for yourself. The staff are amazing and by your second day there, they know everyone in your party, how they like their eggs and coffee and treat you like family. It's also small enough that you'll meet new people from alll over the world with whom you obviously have something in common if you'll go through the trouble to find and travel to this beautiful island and hotel.
LOCATION: perfect location to the beautiful beach/sand bar! It's not walkable to town, but its an easy golf cart ride. PROPERTY: the property itself is beautiful and well laid out. There are a few pools, but the beach is so incredible that I hardly spent time in the pools. SERVICE: was great! Drinks arrived quickly. waiters brought correct orders in a timely manner. FOOD & DRINK: loved everything I ordered! ROOMS: In theory, they are all really cool looking and unique, however, it felt a little dirty all the time just to all the sand and bugs. There was not really any storage, so I left my stuff inside of my suitcase. I think the rooms could use a little updating.
