Horrible, dirty place. It's a working man's hotel for people that don't care if the blankets are ever washed or if everything is stained, old and torn up. There was a hole in the adjoining room door and it was covered up by a plain piece of white paper instead of being replaced or patched up properly. dirty hand prints all over the light-switches. Picture fell off the wall in the middle of the night breaking all over. Large hole in one of the old comforters from 1970. Stains on sheets and mattresses . The staff admitted the room was cleaned in a rush but offered little sympathy or discount. We ended up leaving. The pool was heated and clean and the guy who works on the property outside was very nice.

Well, our accommodation was not as we expected and I would not recommend it. It is a 2 star motel, popular with dog people, though we had no dogs with us. We were paying 3 star prices, nearly $200 a night. This was NOT $200 a night standard accommodation by any means. We certainly will not be staying there again. No rooms were serviced while guests were staying "because of Covid" but it appears that who ever serviced them in between guests was keen to get in and out with a minimum of work. Dirty bathroom, old and worn towels with holes in them, dirty, old discoloured blankets, worn and thin sheets. Dust everywhere and something nasty and sticky all over one of the pieces of furniture. The only plus was that it was a modern, refurbished room. But when you ask for a room with two beds, as I did, it would be best to stipulate that you want two proper beds and maybe unlike us, you won't get a small double bed and a murphy bed in the wall. Both of which were very uncomfortable. Had we been able to, I think we would have decamped to another hotel, but it being labour day weekend we felt the chances of that were slim (it had been hard to book accommodation for that weekend) and so we stayed and also because it was in close proximity to the event we were attending. We spent as long as we could out of the room .

We were traveling with our dogs and decided to stay here as they allow dogs. First impression was that the outside looks well maintained. Parking is easy as there is a large lot. Check in was good and Belinda at the front desk was very friendly and professional. The pet rooms rooms are on the ground floor in what I think is the older original building. The rooms are a good layout for traveling with dogs you enter the room from the parking lot and the room is the entire width of the building so there is a patio door on the backside that opens to the garden grassy area. Unfortunately our room was not clean. This is a basic older motel so I did not expect fancy, but I expect clean, especially during Covid. The toilet was dirty and the bathroom taps were not clean. There were cob webs hanging from the ceiling and and cobwebs with bugs stuck in them outside the bathroom door. The surfaces in the room did not look clean as there was something splattered on the dresser and it was not cleaned off. I opened a dresser drawer and there was a lone jujube stuck to the bottom of drawer. The pool was closed due to Covid but I doubt the pool is the biggest worry. The only reason I gave 2 stars is that Belinda at the front desk was lovely and definitely an asset to this property. I would never stay here again. Penticton is only 8 mins away. There are way better properties there.

The motel is in a great location and the room was clean. Unfortunately the room was very small with 2 queen beds crammed in. Because of covid the room was not cleaned daily. The light fixtures had no covers on them and there was a large burn mark on the carpet from the iron. The worst part was that we had no hot water on the first day there. When asked about compensation for not being provided with the most basic amenities I was told "well we fixed the boiler". I would have expected at least a discount on the room for that day but we were still charged full price. We travel to the Okanagan every summer. Next time we will definitely find a better place to stay

As BC was open for travel within the province, I stayed at the Summerland Motel in June 2020. A friend had stayed here twice previously and this was her "go to" place. First impression was so-so. Two double beds, a decent bathroom and a kitchenette. We stayed on the 2nd floor. Due to the way the motel was built with a "balcony" that ran the entire length of the building, we could not enjoy any fresh air in the room with the door or the sliding balcony door open as that left the room wide open and unsecured to people that might walk by. Every time we entered the room, we could smell the dirty carpet (it smelled like dust/dirt) and we had to open the doors for a bit to air the place out. The turn-offs for me was the general uncleanliness of the room. In a time of CoVid, when the Motel had only a few guests, the lack of cleanliness was surprising. There was dust on the baseboards in the bathroom, the fabric-covered chair was stained, and the carpet smelled dusty and dirty. Being there were minimal Motel guests, why on earth the room wasn't sparkling and clean was beyond us - there was no excuse - they couldn't say they were too busy to clean thoroughly. The flusher handle on the toilet was broken. It worked but needed to be replaced. There was only one luggage rack in the room (for 2 beds) so I had to keep my weekend travel bag on the floor. That grosses me out especially with carpeting. Bed bugs are always top of mind and I try to never ever let my luggage touch carpeting or bedding. Unfortunately, I had no other alternative in this room than to keep my bag on the carpet. We emptied the garbage containers ourselves and requested coffee replenishment each day. and clean dish towels. The first day we requested these items, we were told that the room would not be cleaned during our 3-day stay so we should order up what we needed by calling the office. We were fine with no one entering the room but, again, had the room been very clean to begin with, it would have left a much better impression. The Motel is right on the main highway. Quiet when all the doors to the room are closed but no if you need to have a door ajar. We both agreed that we would look for a different place to stay the next time we traveled to the area.

Our location was right next to the highway, in a lovely upgraded older hotel. Beds are comfy, room is spotless and friendly staff. We were put to the back area of the building which kept the highway traffic noise to a minimum.

The staff was very friendly, from the first contact when booking via telephone (I messed up my Expedia booking) through our stay and until we left after five days. The room was clean, and the motel pet friendly. The motel is situated right on the highway with easy parking, but the room was still quiet. So long as you stay away from the highway, there is a still a nice area to walk your dog without having to drive somewhere. Easy access via the highway to both downtown Summerland and to Penticton.

We were up there for a ball tournament and stumbled upon this Motel. Easy access as it is on the Highway, it can be noisy but eventually you get used to it. Staff were friendly, rooms were clean. Depending on where you are in this property will determine your WiFi connection, where we were placed the WiFi was poor to non existent. The price is right and away from the hustle and bustle.

The room was exceptionally clean, the pool and lounge area was quite and an adequate space. The service attendant at reception was cordial and allowed early check-in. There were amenities nearby that met the needs I required for myself and my family.

Thirteen members of our family met up for a three night stay at this motel for the July 1st celebrations ( that’s Canada Day ). Staff were extremely helpful and accommodating. Even to the point of cleaning the pool early so as to let our kids enjoy. Very clean. Will definitely return, as well as recommend to others. There’s also a fantastic cidery within walking distance...
