We reserved a room at Maria Luisa's casa for three nights two weeks in advance and reconfirm two days before our arrival. She said, she was waiting for us. When we got there, Maria told us the toilet of our room had been broken by a German the day before and we couldn't stay there but she had found another... More

We arrived at Casa Maria after a very long drive from Trinidad. I would like to thank Federico for organising this for us. A beautiful location surrounded by the National Park. Unfortunately the room was really small, dark and horrible with nowhere to hang your clothes, except on the bathroom door. Had to ask them to clean the room and empty... More

We stayed with Maria Louisa and her family for two days and had an enjoyable stay. Maria Louisa does not speak much English, but her son Darian speaks good. She rents out three rooms and we got the smallest. There is little space for luggage. A cozy place outside the room, with hens and chicks chugging around your legs. They... More

Perhaps it's because I stayed in some other wonderful Cuban casas, but this one just isn't as good. There's nothing wrong with it as such, the food is good, the patio area is lovely, trips and activities can be arranged, so I did have a good stay here, but it doesn't have the same warmth and friendliness that made other... We stayed with Maria on recommendation from our Casa in Havana. The CAsa is in a quiet spot but close to the town centre, nice spacious rooms and pleasant patio in the garden - very relaxed place to stay. Food was excellent and we could hardly move after the dinner we had there one evening. Maria's son can arrange local... More

This was our first casa in cuba, so after we could compare to others, we relaized it was an avarage casa..we stayed for 2 nights and they didn't clean our room at all. the food was good but the hospitality not so much..there is a nice view from one of the rooms

During our backpacking in Western Cuba, we spent two nights at Casa Maria Luisa, and found it quite fine. Maria Luisa met us at the bus, which made our arrival easy. Although we have no Spanish, and she has very minimal English, we communicated through smiles, gestures, and her son when he was there. The back patio was truly lovely,... More

We liked Maria Luisas casa a lot. She was really nice and gave us some great advices where to go. We wanted to have a private guide, who she organized for us. The food was one of the best we had in cuba and it was a lot. We also got to talk to her mother, who told us some... More

After a few casas, you start to get an idea of what you should be able to expect staying in one. Generally, you get an immaculately cleaned bathroom with hot water, no soap, no AC, (I don't mean this to sound critical; I'm just setting a baseline) and a bedroom with a lock, AC, a fan, and a pretty uncomfortable... This casa should be listed under Vinales and not Pinar del Rio. It's located on the main street in Vinales just 2 short blocks from the town square. The hosts are Maria, her son and Maria's mother. Maria met us as we came off the bus so we wouldn't have a problem finding the house. We don't speak Spanish but... More
