This was an unexpected surpise after a last minute reservation for a two-night stay! While the casa is on a small road near the town of La Mulata and is sort of "middle of nowhere", it offers a great respite spot where slowing down is the only option. Our two boys, aged 5 and 7 loved romping with the chickens...

Arrived late in the evening after being recomended the place at the docks by cayó levisa. Eating dinner under the gazibo talking to Jesus and a bike vacationing german couple was a great way to end the day. Good place in a friendly country setting. I would recomend it to anyone passing the area.

We stayed at this casa in december 2013. Jesus is a very kind host, who gave us a lot of information about Cuba. He speaks very well English. We stayed at his house during a cycling trip, funnily enough Jesus told us that about half of his guests are cycle tourist from Holland, like ourselves. We had very fresh fish...

This was the first house we stayed. Son in law of Jose and Maria named Jesus (really! :-) ) was our kind host. He showed us around in their amazing garden where we had fresh mango's and sugar cane. Then his wife cooked the best lobster we've ever had. Surroundings here are nice, but it's more of a hide out...

The Otaño family make lunch for us. We were travelling from Viñales to Havana through the northern coast, which is a perfect road trip. Their finca is so nice, they have a lot of animals, the food was amazing and they are really nice people! Our trip was two years ago, Dec 2010.

We found this little gem of a casa after hitchhiking a bit from Cayo Levisa. We were very tired and it was the perfect place to find. Jesus and his family welcomed us very warmly, cooked us great food and let us relax and read in hammocks for two days!

This is a great casa particular in the small, pretty town of Playa La Mulata, an very nice place to stop if you are cycling through. From Havana, we stayed at a casa in Cabanas the first night, then this place the second, then on to Vinales. They fed us VERY well, and the place is very cute.

Thank AlbertaSarah
