Just stayed overnight with friends and our dogs, in the ground floor terrace rooms, which were ideal for us as we had access to the outside without having to go through the hotel. Can't praise the staff of the hotel enough. On arrival breakfast had finished but they made the eff

Thank you so much for taking the time to write such a lovely review. All our dog friendly rooms are on the ground floor to give easy access to outside space. We will always go the extra mile for our guests and its always rewarding for the staff when it's appreciated. We are also glad you chose to dine with us and found our food and service excellent. It’s lovely to have returning guests and thank you for your glowing report. The deal you stayed on is a particularly good one, which we run through the winter months to allow as many people as possible to enjoy our fabulous hospitality and the stunning area when it is a little less busy. We are delighted that you enjoyed our full cooked breakfasts and, yes, we always serve generous portions with all our dishes – breakfast, lunch and dinner. We look forward to welcoming you back when you plan your next trip.

Review a little late.

Stayed here the night before and the night after the Festival No 6 festival in Portmeirion. Couldn’t fault the wonderful people who work at this hotel - from the reception staff to the bar staff to the wonderful man who helped me park my beast of a car in

Thank you so much for taking the time to write such a lovely review. We are so pleased you found all aspects of the hotel to your liking. Our friendly staff will always go the extra mile, wherever possible, to ensure that your stay is as relaxing as possible. Our dog-friendly rooms are on the ground floor to give easy access to our outside areas and, like you mentioned, as we are on the high street, it is a short walk to green areas. However, we do always let dog owners (and other guests) know of all the best coastal and countryside walks from the hotel. We look forward to welcoming you back when you’re next enjoying Snowdonia with your dog.

Booked a last minute 2 night stay because it was dog friendly & we haven't been to Wales for a few years. Was a reasonable price for 2 nights, 2 dogs & continental breakfast. Arrived at 1.30 but check in wasn't until 3.00 so I parked on their rear covered car park & went to recep

Thank you for taking to time to write a comprehensive review of your stay. We are delighted that you found almost everything to your liking. Our dog-friendly rooms are conveniently located in the courtyard area to give easy access outside for when the dogs need to go walkies. We shall pass your comments about the continental breakfast on to our chef and see whether he can add some savoury dishes to the spread. And we’re sorry our strawberry jam wasn’t to your liking. We do have people rave about it (and our homemade marmalade) so I guess it’s just a matter of personal taste. We are delighted you had a lovely stay and appreciated our central location to all the attractions here in Snowdonia. We look forward to welcoming you and your dogs back when you next come to explore this stunning area.

Everything very old and decrepit. Tiny single bed in a room smaller then the bathrooms of most hotels. Looks like it hasn’t had any investment since WW2.
Went to bed first night of three. Discovered that the toilet cistern was constantly running, and with the ridiculously small s

We are sorry to hear that you were not happy with the single room that your company booked on your behalf. You made it quite clear with your attitude that you weren’t impressed at check in, before even seeing the room because you wanted a double bedded room. Our Duty Manager checked if she could upgrade you to a double room, but we were actually fully booked. As for the “tiny” single bed, this is a standard size single bed in a fairly large single room, as we always get complemented about the size of the rooms. The reception closes at 9pm, as it states on the sign at reception, the Bar Manager is on duty until closing time and the Night Manager is on the premises overnight, with a number to contact if needed. This information can also be found in your check in card and information folder in your room. Hotel maintenance person checked the room first thing in the morning and rectified the small problem he found with the cistern. You came back to join your colleague at the hotel for your breakfast the next morning, I take it you enjoyed this and stayed a few more nights in the same room without mentioning anything to staff during that time. We were pleased to hear that your colleague who stayed in the single room next to yours (the rooms are almost identical) spoke to our Bar Manager and was quite happy and had no problems with the room or any of the other facilities within the hotel. It is a shame that on your departure you were very abrupt and very rude to our staff. Overall, we are a good value, comfortable Victorian coaching house in a great location with friendly, helpful staff and freshly cooked breakfasts, lunch and dinner to order, with guests who return each year. Thank you for taking the time to review us on Tripadvisor.
