I received this for a Christmas gift from my parents, and the deal was an Overnight stay on the Barge, Handmade chocolates and wine on arrival and Breakfast; the room itself is extremely beautifully decorated, to a very high standard, the treats were lovely also, a selection of tablet\brownie\strawberries etc and a nice bottle of wine. Hotel doesn't look much from outside but inside is a different story. Booked a harbour view room and that's what made the room . The view was superb. The room it's self was a bit small and bathroom too but it was clean and bed was extremely comfortable. Had a great nights sleep. Dinner was lovely and so was breakfast....

They also supplied balloons, fruit and a birthday plaque. The food is delicious and the menu varied. The seafood is excellent. Louise, the duty manager, is so friendly, helpful and efficient and the staff...

Spontaneous hop across, courtesy of CalMac, from Portavadie. Got talking to a lady on ferry who was lunching here. Given that info in the particular Tarbert is thin on the ground I decided to give it a try too. Opted for the langoustines and scallops, seafood this good is regrettably scarce on this island on plenty, bizarrely. Can neither fault...
