Booked this for a friend's 60th birthday. We stayed on the barge which was absolutely beautiful with very clean rooms and good attention to detail. We ate in the restaurant which was amazing the food the service the attention to detail was second to none. Gosia the waitress was superb, couldn't have been more helpful.

What a lovely hotel - room spotless and staff very friendly and helpful. Food was excellent - as was the breakfast - plenty of choice from buffet items to hot food. A very friendly village - locals were very welcoming. First time we had ever stayed in this area but we will definitely be back - can definitely recommend.

My partner booked 2 nights on the barge for my birthday. The accommodation was lovely and nicely converted. We had a lovely view of the harbour. We ate in the restaurant in the hotel on the first night. The meal was delicious, I had scallops for starter and sea bass for main. The weather was cold but sunny and we...

We stayed on the barge at the Anchor Hotel. It was beautiful. Very high spec. Had dinner at the restaurant it was fantastic. Oysters and Lamb. The bed was so comfortable we slept straight through the night. This is one of the nicest places I've ever stayed. The staff are extremely friendly and competent. We will definitely be back.

My wife and myself recently celebrated our wedding anniversary with an overnight stay at the Anchor Hotel and Barge in Tarbert. It is now probably our favourite place to stay in Scotland. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, particularly the couple who run the establishment Louise and Jay. The accommodation (we opted to stay in one of the 4...

Stayed here again for 2 nights and the hotel did not disappoint. The refurbishment has certainly improved the place since our last visit. Great location with views over the harbour. Rooms are very comfortable. Ate in the restaurant on one evening and the food was superb. Breakfasts are superb. Will definitely return.

We ate in the restaurant both nights and the food was absolutely delicious, followed by an equally delicious breakfast in the morning. What makes this place extra special is the staff, the girls were extremely pleasant and very helpful, creating...

Absolutely delicious dinner at the Anchor Hotel! I had the Cullen Skink to start and Sea Bass to follow, both were so fresh whilst very flavoursome and plentiful! Even better when washed down with a local Fyne Ale bottle of Jarl! Service was prompt and friendly. Would highly recommend!
