We stayed for a lovely weekend with Mary at the Balmoral, rooms are basic but spotless and it was a joy not to have a tv in our room. Breakfast was the highlight. The location is perfect for the views and lovely walks around Port Erin.

Stayed for three nights in June. Stunning view over Port Erin bay from the bar. Room very clean, had tea, coffee and water provided, and a hair dryer is also in the room along with soap and shampoo in bathroom. Mary is really helpful and can give information on places to go on the island. All of the island that...

A bit dated but great value for money and perfect for me and my biking pals for a long weekend break. Clean and comfortable and a hearty breakfast each morning. Just a very short walk to a couple of decent pubs for evening meals and a few beers. Thanks for your hospitality Mary. Hopefully see you again. Cheers

basic accommodation with fantastic views over Port Erin bay. Amazing hospitality by Mary. Excellent breakfast cooked to order. Room was simple - with wash basin in room and separate shower/toilet. Bed very comfortable. Would definitely stay again and would recommend.

Old fashioned charm, yes. All mod cons no, but perfect if you want to escape and relax. Good value, and great breakfasts. Right on the sea front, with stunning sea views, especially sunset. An excellent fish and chip shop just round the corner as well as local pubs, and the Manx steam railway station. Good local cafés too.

We went to Port Erin for a family wedding and finding the Balmoral was a wee gem of a place. Mary the hostess made you feel at home. Our room looked out to sea and had an ensuite and a tea tray. There is a lovely relaxing lounge/bar at the front with beautiful sea views. Another lounge with a tv/reading...

We were lucky enough to be put up at the Balmoral during a week's stay for a music competition in Port Erin. All of the competition jury and other staff were staying there - eventually 13 people. Mary made it seem like a home for all of us, from the amazing cooked breakfast of locally produced food, right through to...

This is an old fashioned guest house, and although I had an excellent time here, travellers should be under no illusion that the facilities are anything but basic. The rooms are very old fashioned and don't have TV - there was a clock radio but the radio was broken. (There is a TV room downstairs). There is wifi but the...

My daughter and I stayed there for one night in mid September before going on to the Calf of Man and again for one night after coming off the Calf. Mary, the landlady, was very welcoming and happy to put up with our unpredictable travel arrangements. The hotel is a little old fashioned looking, but perfectly comfortable. Each bedroom has...
