We stayed at Chetcombe House for two nights recently in order to attend a family wedding nearby. Our party occupied three rooms, all comfortably furnished and well appointed. Our hosts Rosie and Jerry are professional, friendly and helpful beyond the call of duty. Chetcombe House is very well situated for easy assess to a range of local attractions including Stourhead...

I don't normally write reviews but felt compelled to do so after a wonderful stay here with my husband and our 4 year old daughter. The b&b is by far the nicest we have ever stayed in. The owners were lovely and made us feel at home as soon as we arrived. The service was excellent, nothing was too much...

We stayed here for 2 nights midweek with our 3 year old. They have a beautiful family room which is large and comfortable, overlooking the garden with a large bathroom (with bath and over the bath shower), which was all perfect for us. They made sure every aspect was covered, they offered extra beding, pillows, blanket, travel cot, guard rail,...

Given their reputation, I was curious to see how well this B & B in a rather sleepy Wiltshire village measured up. It ticks all the boxes, from comfortable well-equipped rooms facing open countryside to delicious and inventive breakfast options. The hosts were welcoming, access from the A303 was a doddle, and I can unreservedly recommend Chetcombe House.

Chetcombe House is the place to go if you are visiting Mere and neighbouring attractions. Rosie and are Jerry are great hosts, the rooms are spacious and very comfortable, and the choice of breakfast dishes is a delight. Not only the full English, but blueberry pancakes, scrambled eggs and smoked salmon are among the choices on the menu. Two members...

Unbelievably good! Very welcoming, nothing too much trouble. Although it is just off the A303 it does not suffer from noise, our bedroom looked over green fields to Shaftsbury in the distance (some 15 miles away).

We stayed here for a couple of nights whilst visiting relatives. Made very welcome by landlady Rosie. Room was spotlessly clean and very very comfortable. One small point the bathroom towels were a little hard not quite as soft as we would have liked . Hey though apart from that superb. Breakfast was a delight. Extremely well presented. My wife...

Thank you so much for your lovely review. It is much appreciated and we are very pleased that you enjoyed your stay with us. I have noted your comment regarding bath towels. During dry weather I do like to line dry the laundry as much as possible and then try to soften the towels with a final 15 minutes or...

We stayed here recently for two nights and had a very relaxing stay. Rosie is the perfect host and very welcoming. Our room was very comfortable and spotlessly clean with a lovely view of the back garden and beyond, and breakfast is to die for especially the blueberry pancakes! Thank you Rosie for a lovely break and if we are...

I've lost count of the number of times we've stayed at Chetcombe House. It's a first class B&B; Rosie and Jerry are the perfect hosts, they are so friendly and welcoming and nothing is too much trouble for them. On our first night we always bring an M&S salad and collect a bottle of wine which Yapps, down the road...

It's true! I I often travel to Mere, sometimes at short notice and if Chetcombe House is full I drive 150 miles back home again once I have completed my visit. Even though Rosie has very kindly given me alternative b&b suggestions. I always look forward to my visit, for many reasons: very accessible from A303 (but quiet), Rosie and...
