Not much to say really, called in for a drink as staying locally and wanted to check the place out as a possible place to eat. The football was on and the bar man and couple of locals were quite engrossed. So much so that although our presence had tripled the clientele we had to wait for acknowledgement and service...

This was a nice place to stay for our short break. We had Room 1 which is a larger room and was requested by us as we had our black lab with us. This hotel is very dog friendly by the way, they are allowed in the bar whilst you eat and if you want your dog with you at...

Just spent three days at the White Rose Hotel (bed/breakfast and evening dinner). On arrival we were 'greeted' by an unsmiling lady who simply invited us to complete the arrival slip. There was no welcome of any sort! We were then given a room number and a key and a remote control for the TV - how odd. Directions were...

We stayed 2 nights here and a lovely stay we had. Great location set in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales, and a pretty little village too. As well as its own pub in the hotel, also 2 more pubs to visit in the village. The evening meals in the restaurant are fantastic...and different to your normal pie and mash,...

the was not elevator or concierge for the bags. Car park in the back. The room was a little dowdy and needed sprucing up. The carpet looked old and tired. The pub downstairs was very friendly and the food was great and good value. The breakfast was also excellent.

We stayed here for two nights at the beginning of October. The room was clean tidy and well equipped, the added bonus of great WIFI (10mb down 5mb up) was a welcome change to some of the places we have stayed at. The location was great, being in the heart of the village and the numerous 'Herriot' filming locations around...

A very comfortable family run establishment. Food excellent . Staff were friendly and efficient. The front bedroom where we were located could be a bit noisy with passing traffic in the early morning. Hotel has it's own car park at the rear. An excellent base for exploring the Yorkshire Dales.

We were spoiled for choice in the village as all three hotels looked to be good places to eat but decided on the White Rose. The owner was super friendly and chatty and made us feel very welcome and the restaurant was very smart. My steak and ale pie was the best I have ever had and my wife was...
