This is a lovely B & B, perfect for returning to after a day's walking, with a spacious room, comfortable and enormous bed, delicious breakfast with a wide range of options and a warm and friendly welcome from Helen. Highly recommended.

First time at Holmedale Bed & Breakfast and we really had an enjoyable three days. The rooms were wonderful and Helen was a great host, always very helpful We didn't have very good reception for the internet but Helen got us a booster which made all the difference. I am delighted to be able to review Holmedale B&B. We visited last summer & have just booked our return trip for this year! Such a warm, comfortable b&b with the lovliest hosts. Our room was large, spotless & full of Yorkshire charm. A lovely relaxed atmosphere. Helen & her family are so warm and welcoming. The breakfast was amazing...

It was a pleasure to be back a second time. Helen is always so cheerful and helpful, and she makes the stay a delight. The room was wonderful, and so was the breakfast, and we enjoyed our time there. The only disadvantage is that the reception for internet was not good in the room - but that would not keep...

We have just had a lovely long weekend Askrigg and i`m pleased to say the great reviews for Holmedale B&B are completely justified. Helen is a wonderful host and gave us a very warm welcome on our arrival. We stayed in the St Oswald room which we found very nice with loads of space to stretch out in. The bed...

We spent 3 nights in July in the Herriot Room at Holmedale B & B. This was part of a month long holiday in the UK during which time we stayed in many B & B's. I would have to say that Holmedale was the very best all round! Helen was a warm and helpful host, the bedroom was large...

We've just returned home after a 4 night stay in Holmedale B and B. We had been before in early 2009 and loved the warm and welcoming atmosphere.... and were just as happy with it this time! Helen makes us feel very "at home" in her lovely house and it is lovely to be able to share in a little...

Cannot fault the place one bit, we were made to feel welcome as soon as we walked in. We stayed in the St Oswald room which was massive and decorated tastefully. Breakfast was fantastic, big and sets you up for the rest of the day (best scrambled eggs I've ever had!), brilliant hosts, can't recommend it highly enough

One of the best B&Bs we have stayed in. It snowed just after we arrived, but sadly we did not get snowed in and had to return to work! Fabulous hosts, great breakfast, lovely room, nice pubs in Askrigg, friendly locals - we'll be back for sure.

This B&B is top class . This family friendly house is full of character, is warm, clean and the hosts are one of a kind. Without question this family helped us out of a quagmire, undoubtedly placing themselves second. The breakfast menu beats most London hotels scoring four stars! And the views are to die for. I would recommend this...
