Stayed here for 2 nights dinner bed and breakfast to celebrate a wedding anniversary. Staff were very welcoming, polite and helpful, showed us to our room, offered to help with bags and supplied us with fresh milk so we could have tea in our room. Stayed in room 6 which is just as lovely as described on their website. Huge,...

I am amazed that I had not come here before to-day. My loss, as this is an exquisite restaurant and it has twelve rooms which sound very good. We came for Sunday lunch and both started with moules mariniere. The moules were in a delicious white sauce flavoured with parsley and had been taken out of their shells. Superb. We...

We stayed at The Crown overnight whilst visiting relatives who live nearby. The staff here are friendly, nothing is too much trouble, we could not have wanted more, clean bathroom, comfy bed, friendly staff etc. We much prefer to eat early however due to a large 18th birthday celebration that evening we were only able to get a reservation in...

I cannot fault any aspect of our stay at the Crown and neither would I want to, as every member of the team without exception, went out of their way to ensure we had a pleasant stay. From my initial telephone enquiry until the moment we left we were treated with genuine warmth and friendliness which is refreshing in a...

On a cold winter's day, this is a perfect location for a cream tea. The main bar has some large tables with seating for 4; there is plenty of space. The day we went it was cold outside- there was a small wood fire but it was just smoldering not really very warm, so we kept our coats on as...

Stayed on a special room, dinner and breakfast offer with my boyfriend for a christmas treat and it was the most wonderful evening! Amazing food, the staff were very warm and welcoming and our room was beautiful. We can recommend room 10, massive bed and roll top bath! Been recommending to everyone!

We stayed here for one night and had an evening meal. The rooms are categorised into Standard, Executive and Luxury. We had room 12 which was classed as an Executive Room. I am unsure what made the room 'Executive' as it seemed no more than a standard room. It was very comfortable but small. The description of the room was...

My other half booked this as a surprise birthday night away for me. We arrived and the place looked lovely. The check in at reception was quick and although we were early we were allowed to go to our room. The room was down water appears to be a maze of a corridor and it was so quirky and quaint,...

Absolutely beautiful building tastefully and sympathetically decorated. All the staff were professional courteous and helpful. We stayed in a luxury room situated at the front of the hotel which has the most luxurious bathroom and an incredibly comfortable bed. The food is superb, we ate in the restaurant on both nights and cannot fault any of the dishes we had....
