We had a huge room with a gigantic bathroom. Lovely shuttered windows that opened onto a harlequin red painted room with old furniture, sort of like staying at an eccentric aunt's house! Very friendly people and lovely location next to the castle at the summit of the hilltop village of Arta. We wandered to the town square and found that...

We heard good things about this restaurant / hotel so we decided to book. Unfortunately we found the restaurant closed (and not a room with the high ceilings I love so much). Other than that it's a nice hotel with a proper and clean pool and a cute parrot in the bar (always good for a joke). Staff is friendly...

Rooms and entire hotel very tastefully and individually decorated. Very clean and spacious rooms, ours had a rooftop terrace overlooking the medieval town and very close to the church (worth a visit)! In the evenings, the church bells tolls at the hour until late in the night. It's a magical atmosphere... Owners and staff very polite and helpful, the WiFi...

Back again for our new year's eve dinner (now in our ninth year!). Absolutely superb and great service from the staff. Every course great and unusual - think it might be the best new year's eve dinner we have ever had. As usual, substituted the two fish courses for one of us that doesn't eat fish and the substitutes were...

We had and excellent stay in this cosy little palace in het old town of Arta.. A pleasant surprise was the room upgrade. The staff was efficient, kind: gave high level service, discreet and smiling. We had all we expected in a old charm hotel. Thank you very much indeed.

The hotel is lovely and run by a very nice couple. It's perfect for a romantic holiday off the beaten track. Delicious breakfast buffet to indulge in while sitting in the cosy courtyard. We enjoyed it!

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Our small palace, full of history and tradition, situated at the slope of Sant Salvador fortified church, now houses a real gem, a very unusual hotel with just 7 junior suites and one suite, a bar and a renowned restaurant on the island, an idyllic Mediterranean garden with swimming pool and the iconic facade, which is attributed to Antoni Gaudi. Each of the eight rooms has an individual and unique character. No one looks like the other one. While the rooms of the first floor follow the elegant style so characteristic of the building, the rooms on the upper floor are distinguished by its light and transparent design. The combination between modern and restored gives to the building an unparalleled and unique atmosphere. Your stay will be complete with a succulent and delicious dinner in our restaurant, where you will enjoy a fun and imaginative Mediterranean cuisine. In our cellar you will find a wide assortment of fine Mallorcan and Spanish wines. Hotel Sant Salvador is a haven for those seeking peace and quiet, relax from everyday tasks without giving up modern infrastructure. We will be delighted to welcome you. ... more   less

“We were on the first floor. The room was lovely but we were disturbed by the guest in the room above stomping around at 6 a.m. in the morning. We'd imagine rooms on the top floor would be quieter, especially those looking out over the garden.”
