I went for my second stay in two years primarily for the dressage tuition. I wasn't disappointed. It was testing and insightful. Other riders ranged from the more advanced to beginners. Everyone gets lessons according to their level. With them there were also some non riders enjoying the place as a base for cycling or touring Tuscany. I did one...

Coming to Il Paretaio felt like coming home; a relaxed, friendly, accomodating staff, a mixer with other guests before a family style fantastc multi course dinner, home cooking and local wine, lasting for hours around an old long farm table sharing stories with all the guests. The well run stables, variety of horses, most picturesque surroundings and well groomed dressage...

Amazing, food, hospitality and horses, whether for a short break or a whole week you are made to feel part of a very special family. I have visited 7 times over the last 5 years and it never disappoints - even in cold & windy January. It is so special I have even moved my own horse out there which...

I visited in October. The accommodation was lovely and the meals were amazing - made even better by the fact that all guests (25 or so) ate together sitting at one long communal dining table. I met some lovely people during my stay, however, the main reason I went was for the horseriding...the horses are well trained and looked after...

I had a lovely visit to Il Paretaio. The property is set on a hill with stunning views and very private. The rooms are basic but clean and comfortable. The staff are very friendly and helpful. There are plenty of activities that can be arranged from cooking classes, photography and wine tasting if you are interested. The horses were well...

I had a lovely week at Il Paretaio. My impression of the venue form the web site was perhaps better than the reality when we arrived. The owners Christina and Gianni are very welcoming and there was regularly apperitifs served early evening to welcome new guests and allow people to get to know one another. The farmhouse is situated in...

I spent a heavenly week at Il Paretaio. The owners, Cristina & Gianni, are warm, lovely people who took care to be sure each guest had what she needed and was enjoying every aspect of her experience. The staff reflected the owners' care and concern, and were unfailingly friendly and helpful. The villa is beautiful; the food is fresh well...

Fantastic food, beautiful nature, super staff and wonderful riding! This is paradise for horse lovers. Everyone do their best to take care for you. I always felt safe and confident in the lessons, and the teachers (and my horse Zarish )was doing the best to teach me balance, collection and softness. Thank you Cristina and Gianni, Pietro, Sarah, Lisa and...

Based on Il Paretaio's web page, it is easy to get the impression that this is a high quality facility: well organized and with excellent horses. Unfortunately, this impression is far from true. In reality, they have several very poor horses. In fact, I have never experienced anything worse than what I did here (a very clear case of overly...

Truly amazing place! Beautiful well-trained horses, fantastic tuition, stunning location and delicious food. The owners Gianni and Christina, who teach classical riding, made us feel very welcome and the rest of the team were all really friendly and hard-working: there was a great family feel to the place. In terms of horse riding, they cater for all levels : my...
