Our stay at villa sicilia baglio was an amazing retreat! We stayed here for 1 night and was greeted by the friendly, cheerful staff. The villa is beautiful- very historical and has been in the owner's family for many years. The owner is very enthusiastic about ecotourism and they grow all their own olives. The olive oil, food, and infinity...

Villa Sicilia Baglio is a villa, that dates back to Greek times, with staff rather than a hotel. As such it is a wonderfully private place, set in the Olive Groves of the estate and is best appreciated if you enjoy exploring the history of the region. As an added bonus it has an amazing 18 meter long infinity pool...

We stayed here for 1 night in July. The property is very difficult to find and access is more complicated as you enter via another property after lots of intercom communication to get the gates opened. The property is an upmarket farmhouse. It really is a notch up from agritourism but the prices are hugely overpriced for what I would...

Our stay at Villa Sicilia Baglio was the highlight of our 9-day tour of Sicily. My husband and I appreciated the private atmosphere of this elite villa, tucked well off the main road, away from the hustle and bustle of other commercial and exposed hotels we passed, thanking our lucky stars we hadn't chosen there. Host Emerico Amari was welcoming,...

“I found this amazing piece of heaven on internet. As soon as I saw it I realized it was the right place for me and my boyfriend, both based in the overcrowded and hectic Hong Kong. An ancient oil mill transformed in a luxury villa surrounded by olive trees, a breathtaking countryside landscape (to admire also from the swimming pool)...

If you want to explore Selinunte - the largest archaeological park in Europe with magnificent seaside landscapes, genuine Sicilian food with local wines and have active relaxing conversations in the company of a wonderful person, deep connoisseur of the untold history of this mythical place, Dott. My name is Tim O'Brien. This is my 3rd time here at Villa Sicilia in two years. And it will not be my last. Two weeks ago, I was with dear friends at dinner in a special place called Ciboure. In France, just south of Biarritz. We were discussing our favorite hotels in the World. Mine. I said, is Le...

Villa Sicilia Baglio is not for everyone, and if your comfort zone does not extend beyond conventional luxury hotels, this is probably not for you... but if you are interested in an authentic Sicilian adventure, living as the personal guest of a warm and engaging gentleman of illustrious Sicilean lineage who is truly passionate about and deeply versed in his...

Quite an experience! We spent a couple of weeks on Amalfi Coast and then Sicily staying in a variety of places and this one will certainly live long in the memory for all the right reasons. It's pricey and quirky but idyllic and wonderfully hosted by Emerico and his team. Our kids (11 and 7) really enjoyed the stay -...
