This is a brand new residence of the CGH chain, a company we've used before. The self-catered apartment was modern, clean and well-equipped and is in a fantastic location, close to the Peisey-Vallandry lift. Our room was west facing and gave a great view down the valley. Peisey-Vallandry is a quiet, small ski resort, ideal for a families and couples. If you're looking for a livelier apres-ski scene then I'd suggest somewhere else. Great access to the vast Les Arcs and La Plagne ski areas. Very friendly and helpful staff. You are given access to the sister hotel's spa facilities which we checked out (very nice, about 10/15 min walk), but didn't use. Too busy skiing! We (my wife and I) went in January and got a great price and we would definitely return again. Highly recommend.

Nice spacious appartment, well situated ski in ski out and close to all amenities. Clean and comfortable. Advise against using their parking because it’s not needed. A little soulless with a reception that is not open all day and a lounge area that was unused when we were there over half term. No bar or anything like that to make it social. Only complaint was that we were not told about a huge crane outside our balcony which kind of spoiled the view! But great ski area with La Plagne easily accessible as well as Pesiey Vallandry and all of Les Arcs.

We really enjoyed our recent stay in this residence which is part of the CGH group. It's one of the newer properties so all the furniture and appliances were clean and in great shape. We rented a 3-bedroom apartment which was spacious compared to the usual ski apartments. Sufficient closets and storage space so we didn't need to live out of suitcases. The kitchen was well equipped for a large family. There are also numerous restaurants in the area if you don't want to cook. The gentleman at the reception desk was very helpful.

The location is good. It took less than 10 minutes to walk to the center of town where there is a supermarket, a boulangerie, a local traiteur with delicious charcuteries and cheeses, restaurants and several ski equipment rental places. To ski, we just walked up the stairs from the ski locker that led to the "La Foret" blue (and easy) path. At the end of the day, we could ski right back the residence.

The ski domain is huge. Peisy -Vallandry is located in the middle between Les Arcs and La Plagne so we tried different areas each day. Highly recommended.

Having stayed in a few CGH properties this was up there with good locations in Tignes and Val Thorens and we enjoyed staying here.

It is spacious modern and upmarket by French standards compared to the Pierre and Vacance and others. Our family of 5 with teenagers found the 6 person two bed apartment spacious and there was plenty of room to cook and a proper table to eat.The building is new and everything in the apartment is in good working order and at a high level. The main bedroom is ensuite.Rooms are well soundproofed so there is very little noise from neighbours.

The receptionist Thomas was pleasant and helpful and there is no problem checking in and out.

You are a staircase away from the link slope to the Peisey Vallandry lift which was still skiable on April 15.To me that is ski in ski out even if you have to climb 30 steps. It is close to the Vanoise Express and you can ski Les Arcs or La Plagne using this as a base. We enjoyed alternating between the two on alternate days.

If you can -get a room with a view. We were able to sit on the balcony in the evening catching the sunset and the view as you can see in the pictures is stunning.

Its a hike home from the village. There is a bakery and a modest sherpa with a few restaurants. Enough for a week.

If we were returning we would stay in the sister property Oree des Neiges which is a little more expensive. Why? The pool, easier access to the faster and uncrowded Grizzily lift and a better selection of shops and restaurants on that side. Despite our kids being keen on the pool it was too far at a 10 minute walk after a full days skiing.

I agree with most of Bardo's review of Oree des Neiges, but would add a few riders that might be of interest to anyone thinking of staying here.

At the moment (Apr-12) it is only half built - i.e. it is a building site. Builders cutting roof tiles with an angle grinder outside our door meant we had to make a run for it each morning, with our eyes and mouths shut. V. noisy during the day, which normally wouldn't matter, but with the weather filthy one pm we finished skiing early and had to put up with the noise.

It advertises itself as a ski-in/ski-out - well, sort of. You have to climb up 40-odd metal stairs, then (at present) climb up a steep mound of rubble, which is tricky. The 'rubble hills' will no doubt be landscaped when the building is completed, but you will still be left with a stiff climb to get to the snow above the apartments - just about OK for an adult, but not so for small children.

The apartments themselves are small. E.G in our bedroom (the en-suite, so presumably the 'master') there was no room for bedside tables - presumably the French normally have bedside tables?? Everything is just as large as it has to be, and no more. Quality of build & fittings seem good, but design and size less so. I spoke with others staying in different chalets, and they all said the same - all rooms were small (it looks like the resort was built along uniform lines - same architect/builder for most of the builds?)

Our apartment (A1) specifically was on the ground floor. Our living room looked out over the valley - great views - but the patio/balcony was unfinished so unuseable. All other rooms were either windowless, or had windows opening on to the passageway at the back of the building. This meant that we couldn't open bedroom windows at night, or leave them open during the day, for security reasons. Stuffy nights had by all!

Position is good - easy walk to the village. Resort is good size and safe - we let our 8YO go to the shops alone. Supermarket is fine, but rarely any fresh milk - stock up when in stock! Small select of bars & restaurants. In our opinion, best were Bergerie de Raphael (grown up) & L'Armoise (in Plan Peisey - 10 min walk - kids' favorite).

Great skiing, easy to get over to Les Arcs (& La Plaine), would go back, but will look for a better option than Oree des Neiges - v. expensive imo!

Мы заехали сегодня на неделю. Не знаем, протянем ли неделю.
We have just arrived for a week. I'm not sure that we'll stay this week here.

Ч - чистота.
В туалете следы чужого экскрементов!!! Пыль и грязь везде - мы сами подмели, сами помыли.
C - cleanness.
There are traces of other people's excrement in the toilet !!!! Dust and dirt are everywhere - we cleaned everything ourselves.

H - hospitality.
We are 8 people. The linen is laid on six. The seventh sheet - like from the as..., there is no pillowcase, no blanket. The ordered baby cot is in the room but folded, there is no set of linen for the child, the reception does not respond.

E - equipment.
There is no hot water so far. I hope it will be provided in the morning. But those who came at night are not supposed to bathe. Plumbing is broken in places. The floor, unfortunately, is cold, and there are no rugs, and we have children with cough. We got so used from the last 10 trips to different countries for different money that the floors in winter apartments are always warm. And here, as planned by the owners, apparently, you should walk around the house in boots.

Обычно отзыв пишется по итогу проживания, но тут такое начало, что захотелось написать сразу.
Usually a review is written based on the result of the stay, but there is such a beginning that I decided to write right away.

This hotel is very clean and spacious.
The receptionist was polite, welcoming and skillful.

We rent an apartment for 6 guests with a kitchen very new.
The bed was extremely comfortable and the place very quiet.
We had a balcony with a picturesque view on the mountains.
The furniture was with a high quality.

One negative point: the heating system was ineffective.

In the surroundings, there are several shops (excessively expensive).
We had the possibility to use for free the spa "Orée des Cimes" where there are saunas, hamams, hot water...

We rent this apartment threw Booking.com with a huge discount. Otherwise it's rather expensive.

This is the third visit to PV and second time we chose to stay at a CHG residence. The apartments have simple but appropriate interiors and they are well thought out. There's lots of storage ( could be more for food ), well equipped and placed near the slopes. This year we got a great views thanks to Sebastian, the v friendly receptionist who made sure our apartment had one. We also asked to be close to another apartment where other members of our family were staying. There's no silly extra charges for towels and bedding like other chalets. We would choose to stay here again!

Stayed here for a week with friends, we had a one bed apartment (B3) with a huge balcony overlooking the mountain views. The buildings are well thought out with underground parking for €60 a week, minimal walking to unpack your car etc.

A very friendly guy called Sebastien welcomed us and he speaks excellent English so our stuttered French was not a problem. Once he has gone through everything we found out we can order fresh bread and pastries from him and collect from the reception each morning, which saves some hassle and is cost effective.

The room was clean, has all the things you need for a week and a little trip to the Sherpa store in town (6min walk) you can get all your supplies such as coffee machine sachets etc. There is also an AWESOME Savoie store next door to the Sherpa with the best selection of sausages, meats, cheeses and freshly cooked chickens on a spit outside.

Our room was very comfy, however as there was only the 2 of us we used the main bedroom and it had 2 of the smallest beds I've ever seen, they were not more than about 2ft wide each. Even toddlers would struggle. We pushed them together but with 2 duvets it wasn't great, and I didn't sleep well all week as I was falling out of it all the time. The pull-out sofa bed was also 2 single mattresses so no benefit to using that with all the hassle of making the bed each night and putting away next day.- I really would have preferred a proper double bed. They also only give you those odd square pillows which take up far too much bed space.

Our friends were next door in B2 and their bedroom had a king size bed, which looked bliss - consequently they slept very well all week! Their kids had their own room and their single beds were decent 3ft wide ones - we were very jealous. I can't understand why they would put such tiny beds in.

You can ski into the basement from the slopes, the ski locker room is fine though needs more benches to sit down and put your gear on and could do with bright lights in there. There is a laundry room next door - we didn't use it.

We had a bathroom with an over bath shower which was fine but not very powerful, and a seperate WC.

If you want to use the pool and spa facilities it's in the sister property at the other end of the village and takes just over ten mins to walk to. Facilities there were good.

Overall I would stay again but I would either have to pay for a 2 bedroom apartment or insist on a decent double bed. One other thing, above our bedroom in B3 is the kitchen table and chairs in the apartment above, they woke early every day and so we were woken by them moving chairs on the foor and clomping about in ski boots (even though you are not supposed to walk in the appts in ski boots - that's what the lockers are for) So, totally rubbish sleep overall during the week!

I rented a four room apartment for myself and my two daughters. This apartment fits six people, so obviously we had a lot of space. The apartment was new and clean. It has a great view of the mountain. Unlike many other experciences in France, Sebastien, the receptionist, was exceptionally friendly. We borrowed a stone grill from the reception for one night, which a nice option for dinner. Good ski lockers and just a few steps to get on the slopes. The swimming pool is in the other location (l'Oree des Cimes) which is a 10 minute walk. We didn't feel this was a problem. A minor negative point would be that it takes a long time for the tap water and shower to get hot.
