Owners Alvaro and Sam, and our hosts Tilly & Saskia, made us extremely welcome and comfortable throughout our entire stay. We were 4 families, 15 people in total, with children ranging from 9-16 years of age. We were on the first and ground floors of la Maison Caramel. The four youngest shared a spacious room (with a double bed and...

Owners Sam and Alvaro created a 4 day walk for us starting from, and returning to Maison Caramel. It was a delight. A challenging Alpine walk, fully catered, with breakfasts, dinners and picnics, through the French Alps, and finishing via the Vanoise National Park. We were greeted back at Maison Caramel like old friends, and our room was even changed...

Our stay was just for two nights and it was quite low key as apart from breakfast we didn't really available ourselves of the facilities. However, we were warmly welcomed and slept extremely well in our comfortable room with nice power shower. During the day between our two nights we were recommended to walk along the river to Aime, which...

A group of 9 of us had a fabulous skiing holiday at Maison Caramel in early February. Sam and Alvaro were very helpful in organising our lift passes and lessons in advance, and recommended where to hire skis/boots with a discount. The house was a querky layout, with rooms of all sizes but very comfortable. The hosts Niall, Chrissie, Nick...

We had a superb break at Maison Caramel. Great food and we were very well looked after by Niall and Chrissie. It really felt like a home from home but more relaxing! Location was good and we enjoyed being that little bit out of the resort. Pick ups and drop offs to the lifts were perfect and we couldn't recommend...

I was recommended by a friend to stay at Maison Caramel. It was the first time I have taken my children skiing and nothing was too much trouble for Sam and Alvero. Sam even took us to a local supermarket to pick up food for my son with eating difficulties. We had such a good time we are booking up...

2 parts of this trip were good: the booking experience with Sam, which conveniently lasted until our quasi £3,000 was taken, and the host's David's efforts to do his best given the fact that he and his wife, who both only arrived only 2 weeks previously with almost no orientation, were left alone with 20 guests. For example, they didn't...

Apologies to readers for the length of this response, but some of the comments made are very unfair. I want to show we take our business and guests complaints seriously and do our best to do things right. It’s a shame this guest did not mention any issues to us during his 8 night New Year holiday, despite having the...

I could not recommend Maison Caramel highly enough. The rooms are lovely, furnished in a comfortable relaxed style but to a high standard and the bathroom has a big bath with organic shampoos, body lotion and bubble bath. The room was immaculately clean and so peaceful. Sam is friendly and helpful and her cooking is excellent, everything is produced with...

Maison Caramel is a luxury B&B and ski chalet in an alpine village 7km from Bourg Saint Maurice and less than 10 minutes from the ski lifts of Les Arcs and La Plagne (Paradiski). The farmhouse has lots of alpine charm and plenty of space; including a library, sitting room and gardens with mountain views. “The top floor is self sufficient with its own lounge and log fire. The master bedroom ("Alpage") is superb with 2 balconies (mountain views) and a mezzanine with two traditional beds which would be brilliant for the kids. A large and very comfortable double bed, a free standing bath and separate shower room. The only penalty is a bit of a hike up the stairs outside to get to the top floor so if you have mobility problems its probably not for you. Otherwise go for it. It is well worth it.”
