Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Lovely little hotel in the beautiful village of Landry. The room was very nice, albeit very hot however the bathroom air vent was thick with dust and needs a good clean. A safe in the room would have been nice as would a second chair on the balcony.

Staff were friendly, especially those working in the restaurant in the evening (where the food was excellent).

We would return if we came back to Landry.

We arrived at 9pm after a long journey from UK. Staff couldn’t have been more helpful. Restaurant was about to shut, but we sat in the bar and had a really good platter of hams and cheese with great bread and a couple of nice bottles of wine. Wine list good and reasonably priced. We were up early for a good breakfast before leaving for a ski holiday down the road. Staff excellent and rooms very comfortable with excellent beds and showers etc. Defo stay again.

We stumbled on this hotel after taking a break from the Tour du Mont Blanc. What a great surprise! Every single staff (very hard working) member went above and beyond to accommodate us. They each wore several hats when necessary but managed to tend to our needs in every way. I have never received such professional and positive meal service. The food was outstanding. French cuisine at its finest without breaking the bank. And they assisted with other logistics to make our continuing trip more pleasant and successful. The rooms were very comfortable as well and will not disappoint. I give this hotel the highest recommendation.

Found this little hotel in Landry by luck as we were going to cycle through the village when competing in L’étape du Tour.
What a find!
A very warm welcome by all the staff that couldn’t be more helpful throughout our stay. Lovely rooms.
We also got a better deal that expected when we accepted to eat there the first night, as I did not know they were also a restaurant. The food was always excellent, the four course menu was great value for money and the maitre d’hôtel was always accommodating and would help and switch dishes to suit dietary requirements.
Big recommendation and would be sure to return if I were to visit the area again.
Better than the five star due to tremendous attitude from all the staff, always extremely polite and helpful.

We got stuck in traffic on our way to Moutier so stopped in Landry instead. L’Alpin was virtually the only place open to eat. We were the only ones there and the lunchtime menu was limited. We ate some really good burgers and steaks. The hotel is really pretty and cleverly and tastefully decorated. The staff were friendly and quick. I’d love to stay here some time, traffic permitting...

We ate here at midday as a couple.
We had 2 x salads, 1 x cesar and 1 x salad du jour

The sauce was terrible and watered down and they used the same 'cesar' sauce for both salads (which can barely be called a cesar dressing as the parmesan was inexistant!)
The tomatoes still had the green stalk on them and were just cut in half!! For 15e a salad this was a joke..
Then it started to rain and we asked if we could move inside and they basically said no so we finishes in the rain under a parasol!

My wife and I had the very good fortune to be invited to dine at Hotel L’Alpin during March 2018. The food, service and ambience were outstanding.

The hotel is located in the centre of Landry, just a few minutes from the main road (N90) between Moutiers and Bourg St Maurice, with plenty of parking close by. To find it, just look out for a large red building. It is difficult to miss.

Based on this one very enjoyable experience, we thoroughly recommend the restaurant at Hotel l’Alpin.

Sunday lunch with the family, impeccable service with a waiter who details the menu as if it were on the plates
Menu with quality products and cuisine to perfection with a special mention for the dessert where everything is carefully planned so that all the flavors are there.
What more can I say, an excellent family meal, as often in this establishment

Horrible night in this hotel with an uncomfortable bed but above all dirty sheets with lint. It was itchy! Very uncomfortable bed!

But fortunately the restaurant was very pleasant with a friendly waiter and a hearty and good meal!

Cute, charming, clean, pleasant hotel
Car park
Very pleasant team of professionals, warm and friendly welcome
Comfortable and very clean room
The restaurant is excellent, the portions generous.
Only the breakfast is a little disappointing: too classic and disappointing value for money.

To recommend without hesitation
