Loved Cotignac so much so that we are looking for a home there! Beautifully restored ancient house full of character and history. Stephane and Martine very friendly and helpful. Central location near to main square. Parking bit of a challenge but if you want history expect a few rough edges.

Nice but a bit overprized b&b. It looks very nice on the pics and presentation, but the atmosphere was not as cozy as it seemed. Also we did not like it was sounded but luckily we stayed outside high season so it could have been worse. Bring ear plugs just in case. Breakfast was decent. We had to pay cash...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Gonzagues House is one of the last remaining manor houses in Cotignac a charming village in the unspoiled Upper Var area. Particular care has been lavished on the building, which has been both conserved and renovated in keeping with the spirit of the 18th century, the period during which the house was erected(the exact date is 1747).The 5 principal bedrooms with their fireplaces, are each decorated differently (Jouy, Marseillaise, Louis XIV, Monacale, Marie-Louise)together with their separated bathrooms and toilets. The furniture is antique ans some pieces are very old indeed. ... more   less
