The hotel is different from the normal run of such establishments, There is an air of slightly faded gentility about it. It is clean, the rooms are air conditioned/heated by a fairly quiet 'gizmo' close to the window. The garden is a delight, chickens have the run of it and there are doves who, mainly, stay on the roof of...

December, hotel was empty. Slightly creepy feel to the place. All a bit faded and a bit of painting would not go amiss. Was once in the country, now industrial. Room was clean and ok. Breakfast room was empty, food ok. Not terrible, just odd.

Stayed with my partner for 4 nights beginning of July. The location is close to the highway and easy to find. Off beat location on an industrial estate next to a car storage unit. Don't be put off by this as once in the grounds of the hotel, we really didn't notice. There is plenty of parking in the large...

You have to see this hotel,it really is a quaint place.Just five minutes from the motorway, next to a massive car storage yard ,first impressions from outside are not great. But once inside there is just something about it that makes you want to look around the hotel. It was obviously a very grand place at one time and the current owners...

We booked Le tropic for the last few days of our trip to beautiful south of France. We chose this hotel thinking it would be convenient for going back to the airport. First impressions'had we arrived in Transylvania!! (no disrespect to the people of Transylvania) A dingy dirty entrance greeted us with a murky pond of goldfish to the front....

Charming hotel with a more Spanish than French atmosphere. We arrived in time to eat. For 18 euro's each we had a starter of Palma ham salad with garlic bread, folowed by BBQ sausages and steak with paprika and roast potatoes. The sweet was melon with ice cream. Made me very happy. The staff were very friendly and the rooms...

Absolutely charming and quaint hotel! My daughter and I arrived late at night and reception staff was very friendly and welcoming. Owner was very nice as well. Lots of personal touches in and around the hotel. Loved the Himalayan Salt Lamp in the room! Very nice touch. Pool looked very inviting--unfortunately did not have time to take advantage of that....

My son and I stayed here for one night while on a trip to see some stages of the Tour de France. We chose it for the location and availability as we were booking rooms at the last minute as we made our way around on our trip. Some of the other reviews capture the oddity of this place quite...

Good points: Proximity to Perpignan Airport and motorway system. Room reasonably clean with air conditioning, clean white towels daily and bedding changed every other day. Bad points: Situated in the midst of a commercial complex. No surrounding facilities whatsoever and car essential. The gardens which perhaps once had been attractive were very neglected and upon arrival, one wondered if the...

I have to fervently disagree with the only other review on this Hotel, written in French. This is a family run Hotel and the people could not have been more welcoming. The rooms are around £35 for a double and they were scrupulously clean and tastefully decorated with matching bamboo furniture, overlooking the large swimming pool surrounded by palm trees....
