An absolutely beautiful hotel, located in a very scenic spot amongst mountains.
Staff were very friendly, especially the hotel manager, Sharma who made sure we had enough to eat as vegetarians!
The food was great at breakfast and dinner. The fruits at breakfast attracted flies, however when I told the staff they gave me a fresh plate of fruit and made sure the fruit was covered the next day. Great to see when feedback is listened to and responded to quickly. I really enjoyed my stay here!
The only downside was the many steps we had to take to our room, as that can get tiring. Please also note that you're living very close to wildlife so there will also be an abundance of lizards and insects in the surrounding areas.

Upon arrival at the hotel we were immediately blown away by the beautiful views from the entire location, particularly our private veranda, and the friendliness of the staff. Our room was very comfortable, spacious and well-stocked and offered a gorgeous panorama of Ella and the surrounding area. All the staff were very kind and attentive - they even offered to make us certain foods upon request (which were really delicious). The hotel is about 15 minutes out of town, which made the stay very peaceful, and we had no trouble getting around as the hotel staff hooked us up with a local tuktuk driver named Unga who went above and beyond to make sure we had the best experience of Ella and got to see all the things we wanted to, even helping us make an itinerary with tips and knowledge of his own. Definitely recommend staying here!

The fourth hotel on our Sri Lanka trip was also a hit in our opinion.
The view from our room and its balcony was particularly breathtaking. In Central Europe, you would have to pay a lot for a view like that. But we were lucky because our room in the top bungalow was the highest in the hotel complex.
We also particularly liked the path to the individual bungalows. This led past orchards and through a pergola covered in passion fruit vines. Great concept!
The climb to the rooms is quite steep, however. The hotel is therefore not recommended if you are physically handicapped. The internet does not always work, but this is not due to a lack of WiFi devices, but rather to the hotel location.
The staff were very friendly, as you would expect from Sri Lanka. :-) The breakfast and dinner were also of a good Sri Lankan standard.

Sharma and his team gave us a warm welcome. The complex is spacious and at night you can only hear pure nature. The breakfast is delicious, the hotel has its own tuk tuk, which you can use to go to Ella or plan other excursions (for a fee).

My family and I stayed here for four nights and even though it is about a 20minute tuk tuk ride from the town centre it was well worth the stay. The town was very loud for us and our little boy so it was wonderful to escape to the mountains and enjoy the peace and quite. The hotel staff were incredible especially the staff that managed the food area, my son loved them! The pool was a little on the cold side but that was the only fault, we still jumped in and out throughout the day. A gorgeous hotel, well kept and super clean. The food was impeccable!

Starting with the facility manager Sharma, the entire staff was extremely attentive. The hotel, commanding a panoramic view, is in the best possible location deserving of its name. Our room was very spacious with a large window overlooking the entire scenery. The room and bathroom were clean and equipped with all necessary amenities. Unfortunately, we couldn't stay as long as we wanted due to our schedule; we wish we had more time to extend our stay.

Our 2 night stay at the hotel was in two parts. On the one hand, the Sri Lankan staff were exceptionally welcoming and professional, helping to make our stay enjoyable. The views from our rooms were splendid. However, it is essential to note that this establishment is not suitable for young children. As for the rooms, the bathrooms were in a significant state of disrepair, and it should be noted that the swimming pool was particularly cold. Despite these inconveniences, we greatly appreciated the hospitality of the staff."

Stayed here for 2 nights from May 2nd to the 4th with 3 families 6 people in total. Amazing place. Very private as the rooms are away from the main building with fabulous views from all the rooms and in a very private setting. Close the the town with the bars and restaurants. Close to the new pool and bar area at the 98 acres.
I must mention that the staff here are amazing that includes the chef who was happy to cater to the menu we requested. Dont forget to order the Hot Batter cuttle fish that I taught was the best I tried in Sri Lanka. Do not hesitate to ask for the dishes you need as they will be happy to do what they can to make you happy.
In our opinion this place is more private and not commercial as 98 acres and I think has equal or better views as its at a higher elevation.
The only thing that I would say that can be improved are the wash rooms. Saying that they were not in a poor state and were clean and usable.
Many Thanks to all the staff and management for making our stay very enjoyable. We will be back next time.. Until then..

We stayed a Chill Ville for 4 nights and had an amazing stay. Sharma (manager) was so helpful, he went above and beyond to make our stay amazing. Breakfast each morning was lovely. Fresh eggs cooked how you like them, fresh fruit and had some tasty French toast. The tuk tuk drivers were great, took us out every day and gave us their phone numbers so that we could arrange pick ups. We enjoyed tea in the afternoon looking out at the beautiful view. All food and drinks were great (especially the margaritas). Rooms were spacious and WiFi worked well. We were leaving at 3am for safari and the hotel organised us a breakfast to take away. Five stars 🤩

At first we were not sure since the hotel is little too far from Ella town, but best decisions ever. Exactly what we needed, away from the hustle bustle.
Chill Ville - view point is called for a reason. The hotel is located up on top overlooking at the the mountains with peaceful clouds it has the best view you can get in the whole of Ella! Truly the pictures online don't adequately prepare you for how nice it is. The hotel is very new, our room was spacious, very well maintained, cosy, had the best view possible overlooking at the mountains and lush green garden of the hotel. Every room has a private balcony area, one at the entrance and one inside the room. So peaceful as there is not much vehicles passing by. We arrived to the hotel little late in the night, the staffs were so accommodating arranged food and a place to stay for our driver who dropped us, as he couldn’t go back due to the heavy rain.
The food at the restaurant was great you can choose between local or continental food, with good variety drinks to choose from.
Special shout out to Roshan and Nuwan who took care of us every meal, got to know what we liked and made suggestions from their own experience. Made sure that the breakfast and our coffee is arranged as soon as we are up, arranged everything as per our many preferences and choices. Breakfast was our favorite with lots of choices, fruit platter, break baskets, fresh juice and so on.
We were made to feel at home, the second we arrived until our departure. It was a pleasure staying in this beautiful hotel, and getting to know the incredible people and culture. If you are considering a stay in the Ella I cannot recommend Chill Ville highly enough. 🌺❤️
