A good choice, a little far from the main part of quiet Bwejuu, but then you get a quiet piece of beach and relaxing atmosphere. Food was good, staff are friendly and helpful. The sea-view rooms are very nice and get a good breeze, but I would avoid the garden rooms if possible as they can get warm. No hesitations...

We had a wonderful time staying for three nights at this small, peaceful place tucked inbetween palm trees and right at the shore of Bwejuu beach. The staff (Mohamed and Ali) were incredibly accommodating and made our stay extra homely from the moment we arrived. We would recommend this beautiful spot for anyone seeking a relaxing, rejuvenating and peaceful vacation....

This little hotel is a great place to go in Zanzibar if you want to relax, enjoy the beach and be chilled out. The staff there, led by Mohamed, are all extremely friendly, we had a great time getting to know them during our stay. The room was great, basic, but that's all we needed. The shower could be warmer...

We arrived at Upepo after some days in Nungwi and Stone town, looking for a quiet place after these two busy spots. What we found was way better than what we expected, for many reasons. Here a couple of point that we appreciated much. - A fistful of quiet bungalows on the beach, very clean and nice, where you can...

We stayed at Upepo for four nights. From the moment we arrived we felt at home - the whole team working at Upepo are extremely friendly, helpful and easygoing. We felt at home and among friends. The rooms are simple but everything is clean and works, and you do not need anything more than they have for a relaxing beach...

From the friendly pick-up from the airport to the fantastic octopus dinner -- the service was stellar. It's a small place with only a few rooms -- the rooms are sparse (it's a bungalow after all), but clean. Enjoy waking up to the sound of waves.

We stayed 5 nights in this beautiful setting with the beach and ocean right on the doorstep. With only 4 bungalows, it was very boutique and we felt like we were the only ones there. Mohammed and the others went out of there way to help us with any request and were so helpful and cheerful the whole time. The...

We stayed for 5 nights and loved every single minute of it, there are only 4 bungalows and we were the only guests the whole time. We were in room 4, which was on the first floor, the views of the beach and Indian Ocean were fantastic and we never tired of looking at them. We arrived in Zanzibar from...

First off, obviously this place is gorgeous. It's peaceful, beautiful, and everything you would expect from a private beach bungalow. That being said, the staff goes above and beyond in every way possible. While staying 2 nights at Upepo, my friend had a pretty severe medical emergency. The staff of Upepo called a nearby doctor to come to her room...

We stayed here for four nights, which gave us time to really enjoy the sublime surroundings, and some top class service from the staff, particularly Mohamed, who helped us arrange unforgettable activities like snorkelling and swimming with dolphins. In the evenings we were treated to some wonderful fresh seafood on a menu which changed depending on the catch - octopus,...
