Heaven comes to mind when I think back on our stay at Baraza! Location, architecture (regal, unassuming, nothing taller than the palm trees), staff (Daniel and Gharib looked after us, Kalei and Esther orchestrated memorable meals, Gladness served our meals, Musa/Idi at watersports) the hotel layout and of course, the AMAZING food. OMG, Baraza gives a whole new meaning to...

This is an amazing hotel and one of the top 5 we have stayed at. We was a family of 7 – staying in two houses. Staff are always smiling ad are extreme helpful. Always there was reserved a table for our group so that we was able to eat together. Food and wine are super and all over it...

As most Zanzibar oceanside resorts does, Baraza also has an unassuming iron gate. Once it is opened you go into few meters of trees & bushes and finally the main entrance designed old Arabia ( more Moroccan ). The combination of North West African architecture with the breathtaking east Africa ocean colors & greens proved to be perfect in Baraza....

We really enjoyed our recent 17 night stay at Baraza. The location is stunning, the villas excellent, the gardens beautiful, the wine excellent and well-chosen, the food wonderful. However most of all, the staff - whether the Villa Host (Halil), the restaurant staff (thank you Esther, Lilian and Halima and all the others) our villa housekeeper (brilliant job), the chefs...

Now, to be honest, Baraza is perfect; so perfect that it’s boring to review it. Our villa: spacious, comfortable, filled with stylish Zanzibar antique furniture. Beach: beautiful, clean, not crowded at all. Beautiful grounds, villas surrounded with flowers, wonderful reception area in Zanzibar style, with antiques, old wooden carved doors and other lovely items. A nice pool. Eating: excellent. Fabulous...

Dear Lucja, This is the best opening line of a review for Baraza and we are simply delighted that you enjoyed your stay with us. We have noted all of your comments and we will look-into them however regarding waiters and drinking; kindly remember that Zanzibar is predominantly Muslim (since the era of the Sultans) we do, however, always have...

My parents, my fiancé and I spent Christmas and New year at the Baraza Resort & Spa, a 15 night stay. I really can't emphasise enough how wonderful the staff at this hotel are. There are too many names to mention but there is no request too much and all of them greeted with a smile. As countless reviews have...

A wonderful place to enjoy the beach. We stay in the Baraza Presidential villa with our older children.  A big villa with two huge bedrooms.  It is right on the beach front with privacy and amazing view.  Beautifully decoration, the people were so kind and food was top class.  Really it was a fantastic holiday and we already plan our...

The wonderful, responsive team here were great hosts for our Honeymoon stay, the food was excellent & Chefs were chatty & interested. We had a fun history of Zanzibar evening with a local elder & one of those pipe sheesh things (great btw - do try!) sat out under the stars, with the waves crashing & lit by candles, plus...

We stayed here for 3 nights after our 10 day safari. Absolutely beautiful Boutique Hotel. Very attractive beach and grounds. Bougainvillea plants everywhere added so much color. Great pool to cool off in. Not much ocean swimming except at high tide. A large coral flat goes out to the main reef about a half mile out. This can be easily...

Dear Hank, Thank you for this review; it was our pleasure to welcome you to Baraza. I am pleased that you enjoyed your stay and i will pass your regards to the team.
