Have eaten here twice recently and both occasions the food and portions have been of exceptional quality, The recent visit my wife and I ordered from the set menu which offered a choice of 2 courses and tea or coffee for just under £14 each. The portions are well cooked and huge for this price. I was very pleasantly surprised...

Went here for quick family meal with my family and was so disappointed. Asked for a gluten free menu to be told there was only 3 options! I chose a stir fry which had practically nothing in it and was like soup! My husbands curry had no flavour and a meringue with unsweetened cream and one sliced strawberry does not...

Great place to stay big apartments with mod cons. Bar gets very busy with locals and there familys. Good section of beers and the food is large so bring a big appetite. Try the burgers or the steak spot on.

My friend and I visited this place for lunch as we were passing by one afternoon. I had never heard of it before but I will definitely be spreading the word, it was a great wee spot. I was most impressed by the look of the place, the lamps on the bar give it a feel of a 1920's American...

Best fillet steak I've had in years, cooked exactly to my liking. My husband loved his steak and Guinness pie too. Prices were very reasonable. Staff were friendly and very efficient. It was a cold night and there was a lovely fire blazing in the lounge. Great atmosphere. Would highly recommend this hotel.

My family 8 adults and 5 children went to the hotel restaurant on Tuesday. The service was excellent as was the food. The menu ranged from a bar snack to fine dining and everyone was catered for. The bill was extremely reasonable and we thoroughly enjoyed the evening

On Wednesday 26/01/17 this lovely hotel commenced serving afternoon tea, which they hoped to do once a month. Tablecloth, fine bone china, beautifully made finger sandwiches, homemade scones with homemade jam and cream, homemade cakes, shortbread. The atmosphere was buzzing. My friend and I had a really lovely time. Thank you Pauline and staff for a wonderful afternoon what a nice...

Group of 40 members had our annual Christmas party here. We had eaten here before so had high expectations. We were not disappointed. We particularly liked being able to order off the attractive dinner menu instead of having to pre-book which is often the case elsewhere. Food was beautiful and there was plenty of it. Great service by very friendly...
