We stayed here for a night during our South Island road trip. It was booked though Wotif and was one of the better looking properties in Wanaka. I think to be fair, it's slightly overpriced if anything. We stayed outside of peak season during the week and it was quite expensive for what we got. They are small, basic rooms...

We stayed in Wanaka for one night and didn't want anything too expensive. The goal was to spend as little bit of time in a hotel as possible. We were backpacking through NZ and wanted a resting place for a warm bed and a nice hot shower. I didn't realize when booking how far off the beaten path this hotel...

My husband and I stayed 4 nights due to everything else reasonably affordable being booked out. Comfy bed, good shower and warm room. Pity no cooking facilities and balcony off room too tiny to sit on. That being said there is a guest lounge with table and chairs on much larger balcony. Room Tv options were bad but they have...

The owner, of Japanese origin, is very friendly and helpful. the place is quiet, the rooms are absolutely ok, and there is a library in the first floor, where you can stay, or go out to the balcony and enjoy the wonderful view. I can highly recommend this place, if you want to enjoy a japanes breakfast, you will get...

My husband and I stayed at lake wanaka lodge for 1 night only on our trip around NZ. Lots of people say I'm not one to complain and then go ahead and complain about everything but we just felt it would be useful for people to read our experience of the lodge to help decide if you would stay. We...

It was extremely hard to find when booking you should really send out a map so you no exactly where your going, thank god...

We had the most wonderful stay! The accommodation was nothing flashy but had the most comfortable bed and pillows, was immaculately clean and the service was friendly. Perfect location less than 10 minutes’ walk from town. Even has a spa to soak in (next time I’ll remember my togs!). Overall we loved this place and will definitely be staying again...

We stayed at Wanaka Lodge in a group of six in mid-August. Pros: - Clean, spacious rooms and bathrooms - Good wifi - nice lounge room - Very reasonable prices - great hot tub to chill in after a long day of skiing - reasonable walking distance from Wanaka city

This lodge was difficult to find, had dated fittings (had to remember how to work the old school shower!) and a very poor wifi connection. It was a pleasant location back from the town but still not far from all the action.

This was more of a small hotel rather than the motels we stayed at during our NZ holiday. I should have researched its facilities beforehand, so can't criticize it for not having kitchen facilities (except a fridge), but every other place we stayed did have, so beware. The room was quite small and very hot - no aircon. There is...
