We stayed for four nights. Price is very attractive. Service seems to need bit more attention. Room is average. It was clean room and mirrors were ok. Lighting needs to be looked at as in the night lighting in the room is not sufficient.
It would be nice if could keep the pool open bit more longer hours. At least from 7am to around 9pm.
I couldn't go to the gym so no comments.
If you can add bit of flood lights to the water front it would improve the ambiance.
Breakfast is average.
You could have a very romantic seafront view from rooms specially early morning with flat mirror calm sea.
Breakfast was bit too costly. I really liked the Bacon, sausages and omelette. If there's a way to get Only the western breakfast it would be nice. You need to improve the quality of the fruits offered. If you can add few bananas it would be even better.
Main shortage would be the options related to food as there are no restaurant in the vicinity. And this hotel is away from the City.
So for a quiet holiday this would be good. Ample parking available in the hotel premises.

Dear Guest, Thank you for posting such an extensive review. It is always great to get good feedback and also really useful to see where we can make improvements. I will share your comments with the team to show them just where we are doing well and also where we need to improve. The pool hours (8 am - 8 pm) are set to ensure that those guests who are located in rooms near to the pool can have peace and quiet in the evening and morning. We do note your comments about the food options and we do have a plated breakfast option available but the fact that you are commenting means that we need to advertise it better. Once again thanks for staying and also for posting your review. We hope to see you back again. Vinaka and kind regards

This property option was initially planned due to an overall positive impression of the Novotel hotels over the years. The price was reasonable and the hotel was slightly away from the Fiji capital (Suva) city centre.
Sad to say, this property needs improvements at multiple levels, starting from staff interactions, review of customer touch points and experiences, details of the hotel comfort fundamentals. There was no phone (a local contact number was given which was not accessible on whatsapp, which meant one had to walk to the reception for every request), water in the room, which had to be purchased at a very high cost. The excuse mentioned for water was sustainability but other hotels at similar level seemed to provide at least water in glass bottles. This property was also undergoing renovation at the time, which led to other inconveniences. The details of our experience were outlined in detail, shared as part of feedback and it was good to see a response from the leader about reviewing them further.
Overall, this did hurt my impression of the generally great Novotel brand.
The view from the room of the lake and price point seemed to be the only comparative positives overall.

Stayed here for 5 nights in June 2023. The rooms were recently renovated and comfortable but quite small. The bed is comfortable. I think all rooms face the Bay, lovely views. Wi fi in the room worked well. Breakfast is included in the nightly rate. Not a huge variety to choose from but adequate. I dont know what's going on there now - at the time it lacked atmosphere in the evenings. No music or any type of entertainment. The meals were quite good and most staff were friendly and helpful. Shops at Lami town for groceries etc is a short taxi ride or 20 to 30 min walk (from memory). My rating is actually above average and below very good.

I stayed here for a night for work. The staff were friendly but check in was painfully slow. After hours in a small plane my comfort wasn’t a priority.
The room was humid even with the A/C going. The A/C leaked quite badly and the staff gave me a bucket to catch the water.
The shower was old and had mould in the corners and the small water saving shower head spat some water out in a painful jet and the rest in an ice cold mist.
The restaurant attached to the hotel was as expected thank god. It was clean, the meals were simple but tasted good and were typical of the style and flavour of a western menu on a South West Pacific island.
My biggest complaint was being signed into an Accor membership without my knowledge or consent. My phone number was given to a number of places and I received multiple unwanted texts and calls and a barrage of emails from Accor and other 3rd parties.

Dear Guest, Thank you for posting your review. I was pleased to see the staff were friendly and that you enjoyed dinner in our restaurant. I apologise that we obviously got a number of things wrong and we will address these with the various people concerned to ensure that we do improve. It would appear that there was a misunderstanding about signing you up for our loyalty programme. The benefit of this is that WiFi is free but if you do not wish to join then there is a cost. However, we always must make sure that the guest does sign the application form and we will also address this with all staff to ensure that we get this correct. I do apoloise for this. We trust that you enjoyed the rest of your trip to Fiji and do hope to see you back again in the future. Vinaka and kind regards

We stopped overnight in Suva on the way to Levuka, and had booked another couple of nights on return from Levuka to laze around and to do some shopping in Suva before returning to Nadi. The first night we used our Accorplus free night, the other two nights were booked by calling the hotel and making the booking directly.
So we were staggered when we arrived to find that the restaurant and bars were not operating. No one mentioned that to us at all. Lami Bay is 15 minutes out of Suva so our decision to eat in and relax was effectively shot to pieces.
While we were in Levuka, we decided we were not prepared to stay the extra two nights under these circumstances so on our return, we cancelled.
Apart from the irritation that no one told us that we would not be able to eat or have a drink at the hotel, I don't understand why the restaurant/bar was closed anyway. The Novetel in Nadi is operating with a restaurant open, as are many hotels on the western side: ShangriLa, Marriott Momi Bay, Radisson ... Other hotels in Suva have their restaurants open. Why not Lami Bay?
Please note that the service rating below is based on the restaurant being closed. The staff we dealt with were lovely.

So I arrived in my rental car from the airport at 8 check in was painful and when I asked for a quiet room I was then down graded from a executive room to a deluxe room :( not really deluxe. So onto the room dated saggy bed 3 crappy coat hangers and no safe. Asked the office to sort that.
Then onto dinner painful the bar did not have any cider ???!!?? not everyone drinks beer. I order fish and chips and some stir frye vegetables. So my food turns up and it’s curry ??!!? and then my over cooked dry fish and chips arrived with steamed not stir fried vegetables.
The staff were friendly but not really interested in serving me that was very obvious. The view at breakfast is nice but this is not really an Accor Hotel. It’s more like a three star. It could be really great like the Holiday day on Suva or even Grand Pacific Harbour. And I’ve been coming to Fiji for over 10year so this is not my first Rodeo.

Typically, I face a lot of challenges when I facilitate workshops and retreats at resorts and hotels. Usually it's because they can't cater for my vegan and gluten-free dietary needs. This time, I was pleasantly surprised. Every meal and snack for my 2-day retreat was delicious and to my specifications. I didn't have a single allergic reaction, and I realized this should be the norm. To top it off, the staff was very efficient with providing AV support, wifi access, being responsive to our needs for extra materials, and being very diligent with disaster risk management - there was a heavy rain/flood warning on Day 2 of our retreat. They were kind and helpful when I needed outdoor spaces to conduct mindfulness exercises. Radini in particular was very attentive and helpful. I really felt very taken care of, and I highly recommend Novotel for workshops. I've been treated poorly at other resorts, so this was a delight!

Thank you Novotel, Suva staff for the very hospitable service we received yesterday, Easter Monday. We had booked the pool pass for the day and Neha ensured the process was smooth in our online booking. Upon arrival the ladies at front desk welcomed us and provided our pool towels and lunch pass very quickly knowing the excitement with the children to swim. The friendly F&B team served delicious pizzas and milkshakes for our lunch and pool drinks! Thanks for the lovely experience at your beautiful hotel. It quaintly located only 10mins from the city which makes it so convenient.

Myself and my girlfriend were here for a few nights as she had a course in Suva. This is a nice hotel and everything you expect from a Novotel. The food was really good we dined 2 nights in the restaurant the service was good and attentive. The rooms are clean and spacious and have nice view looking out on to Lami Bay!
I would like to give a big shoutout to the night team at reception for helping myself and my girlfriend out with our car situation when our car broke down, they were able to sort out with the rental company for the car to be dropped off at the hotel so we could go out for dinner and it wouldn't disrupt any of our plans

Thank you for your question and yes we most definitely do have fantastic views over Lami Bay. There is no beach in front of the hotel as our hotel is located right up against the sea wall and even at low tide the water is deep.
We do have a swimming pool for all year round use.
Kind regards
Tim
I apologise that we haven't answered this question earlier but yes we can arrange for this so hopefully when you checked in we were able to arrange it for you.
Kind regards
Tim
I believe if payment had been done online then a verification of your id may be needed and of course booking reference and online payment receipt can be used to confirm your room - although, I am not really sure on how this works at the hotel!
